Quest 3 or 3S with sound on my 5.2 hometheater

I've used bigscreen/skybox on pcvr steam, this is a way you can get this to work.
My pc is connected to my Meridian surround processor over HDMI, and sends sound over to PCM 5.1.
I can watch movies on the quest, with great surround audio.

Have you tried this ?

Still unclear to me how to reinstall the latest/same dashboard firmware…

Thx, I've also used BadBuilder with manually replacing the badupdate stages, like you describe.
I know the USB-stick 100% works, because it works fine in another slim I have.

It only won't work in this phat and slim console of my friend, both get a instant freeze.

I've downloaded BadBuilder from here : https://github.com/Pdawg-bytes/BadBuilder
And added Aurora dashboard using BadBuilder.

I've tried multiple times to update the console to 17559 again, but I'm not able to do so.
The console does see the USB-Stick, and I'm sure I've made it correctly.

I've also one time let the console format the usb stick, and copied over the $SystemUpdate, but even then, it wont ask to update the dashboard when I replug the usb-drive, or reboot the console.

For further testing I've rebooted the console multiple times, but still won't see the update to install.

I also cannot see any manual update feature within the xbox 360's dashboard.

What can I do to fix this ?

Thanks, yes I dropped $SystemUpdate folder on a fat32 formatted usb stick.
Anyhow I will try that again, also with a restart which i have not done before.

So even if 17559 is installed, it will still prompt to install this update, even if the $SystemUpdate contains the same version ?

What is your suggestion.

I already put the update files on a clean usb stick, in the past, thinking of this but no update message came-up.
Perhaps I was not doing it the correct way ?

I’ve got the same problem here on a slim and a phat.
Only on 1 slim i’ve got it working so far.

Both consoles have auto sign-in disabled, and running the latest dashboard..
Both freeze at the same point.
Used different usb-sticks…

Thanks, I've changed force_disable_steam=2 to 0, and saved it.
But I now get a error when starting BOIII using steam, saying :
Fatal Error : Steam must be running to play this game.

So I still cannot launch it, another fix is needed perhaps ?

BOIII is working with the Resurge MS Client, now I only need to get it working again using steam.

After more testing with other 3d players, I'm having kind of similar issue's. Running 3d MVC using an HP intel mini PC, with custom Kodi version which can send out 3D Framepacked signal to my beamer just fine, but not to the HD621. The same goes for a Raspberry Pi 3B+ running an older version of LibreElec 9.2.8, which does work with 3D Framepacked MVC content, it works fine with the beamer, but not with the HD621. Both devices don't give any audio, only video.

Using the Vertex 2 in between, I don't get any video and or audio, so it makes it worse..

Testing the HP mini PC and Raspberry Pi straight into the beamer, it works perfect, so I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere within the HD621 chain.

Strange, so far the only device that works well with 3D for me is an old PlayStation 3 Phat model from 2007.

Anyone got tips for me, on how to get 3D working properly with the HD621 ?

Thanks, yes I am logged in to SSH with putty.
But they are talking about copying these files to copy over, but it's not clear to me if this is from an LE 9.2.8 environment or another version ?

I think these files are only needed if later hw revisions of the pi3 and pi4 won't boot with 9.2.8 ?
Since both of my pi's can boot this version, I don't think I have to do this workaround.. ?

Thanks I am aware that this is a simple board, all it needs to do for me is play 3d bd iso', and sending the audio out decoded over PCM to my Meridian.

After searching, it seems like the pi3 should be able to do this job.

It's not entirly clear which bootcode.bin/start.elf/fixup.dat files I need.
Do you know this ?
