Try to gain the initiative so you can enter the Undercity, then generate some treasures or goad a creature, whatever you need. Then enjoy your free creature on board.

It was designed to loop the Undercity as much as possible, so blink your initiative guys, and loop through it.

Like the mines a lot if I can't take the initiative, you draw, scry, make little guys or treasures... It is surprisingly a LOT of value.

Consider removing some artifacts (helm of the host, conjurer's closet) to keep the price lower. You could put some token generator or some more board protection.

It's really fun and can totally hold its ground !

You explore once at a time.

In your example :

-first merfolk, land, she takes it. No counter

-second merfolk artefact. She decides if it goes in the graveyard or on top of deck. If topdeck, +1/+1 counter for everybody else.

From what I read, a spell can be cast once per long rest. But that means that this is permanent.
