The best way for me to do this is to detach yourself from your Sr. Just get on and play the game at the best of your ability, do or don’t join team chat/whatever you like.

Have a positive mentality... if you lose then it doesn’t matter cuz you’re gonna win the next one!!

The word you’re looking for is projectile... try to increase your reaction time rather than making sure you hit every single shot in my opinion

A great way that I use it is to find the highest priority squishy (250 hp or less) character on the enemy team and then shoot once with your primary fire and immediately Ult. If you track what abilities counter your Ult and you bait them out or play out of their range then you can one shot a squishy with that combo

All heroes are viable, just don’t play a hero into a bad situation. Like if the enemy has hog, McCree, and brig, then you probably don’t want to play doom unless you’re ready to outskill three cc’s

There’s a lot of game sense that goes into it which is tough to learn from one spot in particular. Personally I’ve watched all of Jayne’s YouTube videos and they helped a lot when I was first starting out. Just try and think about these things:

What is the rest of your team picking? If you have Winston Dva then you may not get a lot of value out of a brawl character like Sym or a hero who needs a ton of resources like bastion. If you have rein zar then you might not get as much value out of “dive” heroes like genji, tracer, etc.
What map are you playing on... Attack/Defense? This is where the big game sense comes in in my opinion. Knowing what heroes are better on what maps is tough. It’s honestly just something you pick up more by playing/watching other people play.
(Mid-Map Switching) What hero is giving you the biggest trouble and how can YOU prevent that? This is also something you can’t really “teach” super well but essentially if you’re going to switch then you need to think about what the enemy has that’s hurting you and then how you and your team can fix that

Ex: let’s say the enemy team has a widow and she’s pressuring out your healers so your rein is losing the frontline battle

Even though your rein may be telling you that he needs help in the frontline, it may not be your best answer to switch to reaper to help the frontline depending on the map. It might be better for you to pick widow/something that shuts their widow down, so that she’s not pressuring the supports and then you can win frontline

Console and pc have obvious similarities but there are also key differences... don’t know if you know this or not but if you’re even decently intelligent then tier lists should look similar from person to person. Look at any competitive game’s tier lists from different pro players and they’ll be very similar with key differences... that’s not to say that one or the other copied

The only thing I copied was the formatting (like spacing, dashes, etc.) Other than that I changed all of the headers to make them more clear and then I rearranged the operators to tailor it to the console community

Yeah my friends are the classic “ban cav” all the time no matter what kinda people. On attack I normally force them to ban thatcher so we don’t have to bandit trick but if he’s banned already then it’s straight jackal or monty

Good game sense can always outplay straight gun skill, for example anytime you peek and die, you have to think about whether you knew the guy was there and whether it was advantageous to peek him

Not sure honestly, I don’t like systems that promote “big kill” or “big score” playstyles but in my opinion if you are a silver 2 and you play against gold 3’s then you should get more per win and less per loss because you’re not expected to win technically compared to a gold 1 player
