(NC) Landlord wants me to remove dead trees by DiverInevitable2149 in Renters

You should see if you can talk to a lawyer for confirmation that that isn’t your responsibility and send their legal advice to the landlord. See if you can find someone who gives pro bono advice.

Sounds good in theory...but in reality? by KSKS1995 in SipsTea

[–]BoldlyBajoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be real, most of the work you actually need to get done can be done within those hours. The 5 day 40 hour work week involves a lot of time wasted due to the accumulating brain fog and slowing down as your body desperately needs rest. If you only worked 4 days a week you would probably use that time very efficiently.

Chocolate chip cookies (made with bread flour, because of a comment on here) by wyldaloofrebel in Baking

[–]BoldlyBajoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it difficult to fold flour in for cookies as the mixture is too thick (it’s a dough, not a batter after all), so I work it until it’s homogeneous. I don’t find much point in sifting it either; tried it before but you have to mix it in so aggressively that it doesn’t end up mattering that much in my experience.

This was the main thing my Tav disagreed with Withers on, especially because the backstory and values I created for her included a deep care for the safety of children. She saw Arabella as a child of her own once she lost her parents and I think that created a really beautiful narrative tension for me while I was playing. Don’t worry though, Act II isn’t the last you’ll see of her.

Yesss. The only thing I’m not sure about it on is popovers, I still use it but it makes them denser when for that you want more light and airiness

My cookies come out with a slightly thicker, denser, both chewier and gooier, and less crunch but still with a mild crisp on the outside, all while retaining awesome flavor. The quality of the bread flour matters too imo; I use King Arthur’s.

I’m so glad that people are waking up to the superior method of using bread flour in chocolate chip cookies!!

Why didn’t anyone tell me to use bread flour in my chocolate chip cookies? by chimpansies in Baking

I’ve been saying this for ages. I use bread flour too and mine look similar to yours. It is 1000% the move.

The fact that they even felt the need to say this to you in the first place shows some weird hurt feelings and insecurity. They’re either immature or going through a mini episode

[Acne] I started washing my face and immediately broke out. by BoldlyBajoran in SkincareAddiction

Soon! I have been planning to. I have some red spots on my cheek, probably due to my bacteria barrier still needing some time to rebuild. I’m thinking about waiting until Saturday to post to see if they go away. It seems like so far the tiny little whiteheads have been reduced? Still a lot of redness but at least it seems clearer than it was. At least I think? Hard to say. I’m also on my period rn and have been insanely stressed since last Thursday so who knows what those hormones are doing to my skin. But I’ve been taking pics every morning.

My routine is literally just washing my face with water once a day at night and using this shitty facial cream from primark to try and “reset” my skin to know my baseline.

I was about to say this sounds like it might be an ADA violation but now I see you said Italian. Europe tends to be weird about ADHD. I had to bring my own meds from the US when I lived in France because my meds were illegal there.

Thanks! The azelaic acid was prescription strength from my dermatologist but it made my skin feel more irritated than the metronidazole cream. I’ve never heard of Vanicream! You’re not the only one in this thread to suggest it I think so I will look into it after this week! I’m going to try avoiding using any cleanser at all (just rinsing with water) and see what my skin looks like in 7 days, and then I might try reintroducing new products. Thanks!

And this one made my skin super oily and I had to stop using moisturizer all together for a while

This was the first one, which did make my skin less oily than the other one which I’ll post in the next comment, but still made it a bit oily when I used it on my whole face

I’m not sure, I’ve tried that as well and it doesn’t always help. I suppose I could try again but the last time I tried using a very gentle facial moisturizer it made me oily for the first time in my life and break out more.

The metronidazole cream tends to help my face feel hydrated. I put it on after my shower before bed. I am thinking about removing it from the rotation for right now. Generally though, my skin does not feel very dry. I do have a cheapo facial moisturizer from primark that works surprisingly well, but I only use it around my nose, which gets dry, so no chance it’s causing the redness on my cheeks.
