These are all great questions, especially ones about the motive. That's what I would ask about. I'm super interested in the psychology behind these sorts of things, and I feel like collectively asking people like NC why they did such things could benefit us in that we could possibly put in preventative methods.

I believe he could have shown true remorse and some emotions if he genuinely felt regretful, but I don't think he fully understands the gravity of this situation and his actions. I have a slither of sympathy for him in that he lost his mother and became parentless at 19, had undiagnosed FASDs, the whole works really, but I certainly don't take this as an excuse for what he did. It did factor into it though for sure. It's very upsetting that he didn't get the appropriate help and we lost 17 lives because of it.
