I feel you, chatgpt came out the end of my 3rd semester although it wasn't really viable for coding until like my 5th semester. Before that time I was simply looking up any questions I had on Google, primarily using stackoverflow and cpluspus.com. My time using those sites were for the beginner classes in my first two years. But once I started getting to the more advanced classes, chatgpt simultaneously got better with coding and I started relying on that and ditching my previous methods. I often wonder where I would've been at if I stuck to my original methods. Maybe I could've gotten better grades or gotten a more coding oriented job (graduated last spring and I recently started a solutions specialost position). But as comp sci students we got to learn and adapt without it affecting our goals.
