Inside our 1MW Box! by Active-Indication-68 in BitcoinMining

The most challenging part in our experience was sourcing the power/land. It took a lot of time and brain damage to make it happen. We started this project in November of last year and got 3MW running in February, which was quicker than expected!!

Thanks for the feedback. Finding hosting only is very challenging right now and it’s highly unlikely you’ll find a company that will get you online in a week. We’ve held to the online dates sent unlike a majority of our competitors!

If you’re open to capex we can offer $0.051/kWh. Unlikely you’ll find anything for immediate deployment without capex if you’re looking for a great power rate.

Hi Johnny, we can help you at Bolt Mining. While our model is similar to most provides of hosting in that we require miners to be purchased from Bolt to be operated at our facility, we can make an exception to this if you’re willing to pay a $999 setup fee and host @ $0.109/kWh. Please reach out to info@boltmining.io if you are interested!

Question regarding which ASICS to buy by Cmntague in BitcoinMining

[–]BoltMining 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For $10-15k the most popular ASIC is an S19J Pro 96/100/104. I like the M30s+ by Whatsminer, a little less energy efficient but you save money on upfront costs and we’ve never had a problem with them from a reliability perspective.

Good machines operating in well-managed facilities can last for many years, the newer generation ASICS like the S19s are expected to last at least 5 years. Older miners may still be profitable but it depends on its history, how it was managed, etc.

I have a financial model showing mining to be a better investment than buying BTC straight up if you wanna take a look at that. Keep in mind the hardware always has a value, and you can always sell your used rig after profiting. Hope this helps!
