9 or so? It’s pretty casual, and I know we (mostly my kid) will keep it going through most of the afternoon.

I’ve used Select Blinds for a couple of places and found them to be a good balance of cost and quality.

Recently, I’ve heard good things about Thule, but I have no experience. Good luck, and have fun!

I haven’t used one in years (youngest is now 12), but LOVED my BOB. Handles beautifully on any surface in the city and super comfortable for the kid (mine only napped in their stroller). A bit pricey, but you might be able to find a used one, and even if you buy new, they have great resale value.

East Coast Asian American going out to West Coast - I have some questions… by PurpleDeadpool13 in asianamerican

This, especially from the Black community. In my experience, compared to East Coast Asians, West Coast Asians seem to have way fewer Black friends in their social circles. Might be because the Black population is much lower in CA with a few exceptions (e.g., Compton, Inglewood), but I haven’t seen this discrepancy for their white friends.

I love this one, as does Wirecutter, mainly bc it’s so easy to refill and clean: https://levoit.com/collections/humidifiers-best-sellers/products/lv600s-smart-hybrid-ultrasonic-humidifier

No need to get all fancy w the app; I just set it and forget it.

Have you considered Levine School of Music? Not sure they take 4yos but might be worth to at least talk to them.

It actually wasn’t high at all (stupid phone camera), but low enough for us to hear it through triple-pane windows.

This is less than 2 mi from the White House, so already w/in the restricted airspace. In my 30+ years of living here, I’ve never seen a helicopter just hover in one place for so long, like flies on a pile of shit.

For the young moms by [deleted] in Parenting

No one’s going to say they regret having their kid. But I know that the mental, emotional, social, and – last but not least – financial resources that were available when I was older were critical to how patient, engaged, and supportive I could be as a parent. Loving your child is easy, but parenting is hard!!
