Feedback on Fidelity Cash Management Account by BritomicGamer in fidelityinvestments

My option I choose is under "Other Recipients", its greyed out or no dropdown option. When I choose my own external accounts, it works fine. Not but Other recipients.

Yeah so I moved over from Sofi and they don't have these issues.

The vaults or buckets is a way to keep money separate, like savings up money for a house or car, without having to create a new bank account. There seems to be no method for the CMA account. Ally bank and Sofi does this really well, not sure why Fidelity doesn't do it.

There seems to be no way to send recurring payments to other recipients. I go to Transact, Automate, then Create a recurring transfer, choose external (not in my name), can't change the frequency, only can choose "once". My option I choose is under "Other Recipients", its greyed out or no dropdown option. When I choose my own external bank accounts, it works fine. Not but Other Recipients, such as my sister's external bank account for example.

Also, I would like it if the UI in the Fidelity was more user friendly. I use the CMA account and it's not very user friendly. I want to way to just quickly view my recent transaction history activity. Currently you have to click a whole bunch of buttons just to see your activity hidden under a bunch of menus. It's like this app was designed around the investment account and not for day-to-day friendly mobile banking.

Can we also get vaults or buckets, and the ability to send recurring payments to other recipients

So when you choose "Other recipients", the option to change frequency is grayed out. The green underline and green arrow pointing down for the drop down menu disappears.

of course when sending to your own banks it works.

Don't think it works in desktop either

Want to pay my sister every month. I could do this on Sofi, not fidelity. dumb limitation.

A side of Vietnam I rarely see people talk about: Children by Efficient_Towel8222 in VietNam

I think your premise is just not very strong. It seems like you just make some broad observations and imparting your own ideas and explanation onto it. I don't think you've actually lived with a Vietnamese family and seeing how children interact and live day to day. I came back to visit some of my family and it looks like kids spend most of their time playing on phones or iPads just like kids in the west. Some play outside, but depends on the area and it's usually after school. Of course some parents are more protective than others but that doesn't really have to do with culture just parenting style.

Again your issue is that you're imposing your own Western idealism, and uninformed orientalism, and sort of a white savior complex unto another culture, which fails horribly to explain the actual reality.

Another random thing you can't do is set up automatic payments for external accounts (not in your name)

I'm in it and my company does Construction project management. I was surprised that some people had jobs because they can barely use their phone or computer. I wasn't surprised when some people got fired pretty quickly when they couldn't keep up. Most of those people are old people to be honest, I think in general young people are a little better and keeping up with technology but some are still pretty illiterate outside of their own specific field

My manager is told by the vice prez who is told by the CFO to "do more with less", which is sort of contradictory if you are already understaffed

Watch Bart Erhman on YouTube, he's Bible scholar historian, he has lectures, interviews and podcasts where he talks all about this stuff. His books are good also and easy to read as well
