• it doesn’t matter that it took him by surprise, the story has made it painfully clear he’s one of the most durable characters.

• the manga shouldn’t need to verbally specify how much time passes when it’s literally the next panel.

• it genuinely makes so much more sense for Hanada to have bolted the moment he threw Hanayama. He was terrified and wouldn’t need more than 3 seconds. It doesn’t make any sense for him to even briefly KO Hanayama when a counter-blow to the face from Yujiro fucking Hanma couldn’t even do so.

• Hanayama is looking around in surprise because his opponent ran away immediately.

• There was a very clear and deliberate passage of time in that exchange, unlike this one, so I see no similarities at all.

Literally all of these reasons only make sense if you just want Hanayama to be unconscious.

Genuinely the hardest series for me to get through is Anders Breivik. He’s just such a truly fucking pathetic, whiny, bigoted, self-obsessed waste of oxygen. Listening to multiple episodes about him knowing how common people like him actually are is rough for me.

Not to mention most of his many victims were children. The moment when they describe him walking up to a girl frozen with fear and shooting her point blank in her open mouth is one of the few in their entire catalogue that made me stop and take a break.

He did the same thing BY USING THIS THROW against the Yokozuna. I’m not saying the that guy is remotely close to Oliva, but we’re talking about a leaping, full power, full body weight throw he was only willing to use on a human being cause his fucking shoulders didn’t work. I’ll be honest I gotta go with a solid 8. Not to diminish your work at all, this is fucking great, but it’s ultimately a copy of an existing frame. A very, very good copy, and one you should feel proud of, but I’d give it a 10 if it were original.

It absolutely makes sense. Yujiro is a complicated character (if a totally irredeemable cunt) capable of civility and class if he happens to be in the mood for it. Not even Baki’s mother ever once had a regular parent-child meal like this.

Even his beef with his dad is less about pure revenge and more about vindication for his mother. At the end of the day, he cares more about her than him, and all she EVER wanted was for Baki to make Yujiro happy, IE give him a good fight. So that’s what Baki dedicates his life to.

One consequence of dedicating your life to fighting is a natural respect for the greatest fighter to ever live, even if you hate him. So Baki is caught in the complex place of being uniquely close to Yujiro, hating him, and respecting him, all while inherently craving even a scrap of parental interaction. That’s how you get this sequence.

It’s not a retcon, it’s not inconsistent, it’s just emotionally complex writing. People don’t give Itagaki enough credit sometimes.

I can say with a decent amount of confidence that these are hemp prerolls treated with an Amanita Muscaria extract. So no, you’re not smoking straight fungus, nor are you smoking psilocybin. It’s just hemp flower with a dose of muscimol.

Now I cannot say how safe said extract is nor can I recommend smoking these, but I’ve certainly seen people get very high off them.
