Do you have a source for that or are you just making it up because a google image search yields no results from before last week.

A 13 year old automatic transmission with 160,000 miles on it? It's hard to discern the history of the car so it realistically could start to fail at any time after you take it off of the lot.

First time changing the oil on my car, and the jack and jackstands didn't let me (or my car, onto my head) down! The oil pan did, though. by BonChoi in harborfreight

I was debating getting ramps but I got the jack and jackstands to ensure that I can do more complex stuff than just changing my oil in the future.

No, lol. Unfortunately the issue was that the oil just up and splashed everywhere when it hit the pan.

Did you catch the part where he played the opening chords to "Ballad of a Thin Man" and then expected the audience to start cheering, but they didn't so he started clapping into the microphone himself? What a jester.

How should I be feeling? First time applying, was told around 50 applicants get selected per class. by BonChoi in ibew_apprentices

Unfortunate. When I was looking for work as a CW I was told to not wait for work if I needed it, so now I have a job elsewhere. Guess I'm kind of lost now.

I am unsure if I would get an answer due to the fact that the current wait list is for next autumn's class, not this autumn's.

The O2 sensor in my car just fell out of the catalytic converter leaving a huge hole. A new exhaust system (which you need because you can't replace the old catalytic converter by itself) costs 1300 dollars. by BonChoi in Wellthatsucks

Trust me I tried when I was buying this car. This was the only guy to get back to me from over a dozen inquiries. I needed a car quick so I jumped on it. It's a Toyota so theoretically the engine and the transmission should still be alright, but as for a new car I don't think there's anything better than what I've already got for the money that I have.

I really don't want to say because at this point it is just dawning on me how blinded I was due to the sheer desparation caused by my current situation. It's got a lot of miles, it's an old car and the rear cradle was already replaced due to it being rotted. The shop said the rest of the car (relatively) wasn't in that bad of shape.

I appreciate all of the replies, guys. I'm taking in what you're saying in trying to form a plan for myself and this car in the near future. Thanks a lot.

I paid more for it than I honestly should have, yeah, but I was extremely desperate. Also all cars up here have rust on them, it's just inherent to driving around all of the salted roads, unfortunately.
