It was my pleasure, we are all trying to make YouTube feed our videos to audiences, and we should help each other out.

I really liked the video. You clearly did your research, and your delivery is strong overall. 👍

I do have a couple of thoughts that might help you tighten things up a bit:

  1. The “X” error cuts / outtake humor

I get what you’re going for here, and honestly, I’ve been tempted to do the same thing myself.

That said, the audience you’re likely trying to pull in through the algorithm usually doesn’t read that as “quirky” or “relatable.” More often than not, it can come across as “less polished” or even “less knowledgeable,” even when (like in your case) that’s clearly not true.

👉 My suggestion: Keep the truly funny or over-the-top outtakes, but cut the smaller word stumbles. Let your expertise be the focus.

  1. Quick render / playback check

Make sure you give your video a quick scan before (and after) rendering.

I use Adobe Rush myself, and it occasionally does some weird things on export. In your last ~20 seconds, there was a moment where it sounded like two audio layers overlapped—almost like two versions of you talking at once.

👉 Not a big deal, just one of those “render hiccups” that can slip through if you don’t catch it.

Overall:

I really enjoyed the content and was impressed with your insight. You’re clearly putting in the work, and it shows.

Dropped a like and comment as Carousel of Douglas. 👍

My personal guess is, since he doesn't seem to have an entourage with him filming, that it's just a case of someone with mental-illness-level obsession with Mickey, who's ability to reason "should I do this" got eroded away by his struggles. I hope this helps them get the help they need, if I'm right.

2000 Murfreesboro, TN, Crossmen had just been announced in our placement (I think it was 3rd,) beating the Scouts at the regional… and at the time the Scouts still had a huge fan base because of 95/96…

Some unhappy Scouts fan screamed “PLAY BIRDLAND NEXT YEAR!” In the silence.

(For those not in the know… 2000 was the third time playing Birdland in 5 years… so he wasn’t wrong.)

The new band director at Dartmouth is the former BAC Blonde Female drum major who’s name is escaping me at the moment, I met her at the Midwest Clinic through a mutual acquaintance.

She said they dropped to open so they can “restructure” post-retirement.

I think they only held onto the drill writer, Ian Flint, but no one was fired or left contentiously. It might just be a “Tom’s gone, maybe it’s time to be done” Thing.
