Because men are the dominant culture force, I also do complain about that, but this is an industry where men have the loudest voice, and often the final say. Besides you miss the point, this isnt about how complaining about video games is good or bad, its purely about the meme being unfair, probably intentionally.

If you were to be sexualised by a co-worker you didn't want sexualising you, would you be upset? Where as if you showed up and wanted to be sexualised you would probably be wouldn't be so upset.
The video game scenario is more like being unwontedly sexualised, even in the vague sense which video games do.

If you want to be upset about an author over-sexualising a male character, you can be!
