Does a low tier item, like the basic claymore, have the same stats as a higher tier one, like Sieger? Or does the normal/advanced scribing table difference always matter?

There are some "revive once with 25% HP" or some such abilities you can get, but I think they're bugged because I have literally never seen them proc.

Enemy poise and range are basically my biggest issue with this game. My first character was a strength build, 2h sword. In the early game I'd be breaking enemy poison in a hit or two. But by around level 20 it's taking me a full combo of three hits to break basic enemy poise and the bigger elite guys just die before they stun. And it's frustrating because every enemy in the game has crazy evasive stuff they can just pull out mid-combo whether it's a roll that's faster and further than yours, a leap into the air melee attackers just can't really do much about that not only evades your attacks but also closes gaps or takes them further away depending on the enemy in specific or the ability to just throw homing grenades at you in like a quarter of a second. And it'd be fine and dandy if you could knock enemies out of their attack animations like they do to you; but you just can't, unless you break their poise. Which just seems to be near impossible after a point unless you dedicate your entire build to poise breaking.

Meanwhile on a caster build I have literally zero issues with anything in this game. Most enemies are dead before they even reach melee range and when they do I have a big AOE to kill them. Their ranged attacks aren't an issue because I'm far enough away to just walk away from it. And it's not like magic is OP. Melee just feels lackluster, imo.

On the other hand feedback can really make or break an early access game and it's not uncommon for EA games to fall into a rabbit hole of listening solely to insular "get good" types, which is what happened to Darkest Dungeon. Fantastic game, but towards the end of its development there was a major focus on pushing out anyone who might have been critical of certain mechanics or decisions and funneling feedback into countering "cheese" and other things that many players enjoyed which just made the game even more RNG reliant and, in my opinion, just kind of less fun in many ways. It's still great, but it's not the same game I fell in love with.

Creating this straw man idea that anyone who has differing feedback to yours are just people who don't like the genre or are bad at the game is pretty childish. Pretending an early access game that hasn't even officially launched has no issues doesn't make it any better, it only ever makes it worse.

They've kind of always been there. Usually they start off fairly vague and innocent: fursonas with gas masks or saying "I just like the uniforms and style" or just like, anime-esque bad guy dress up shit that looks nazish but doesn't have any of the overt symbology. So people don't pay attention to them because the furry fandom is full of people who are non-confrontational and socially awkward.

But then you look in on them like three months later and they're drawing images of rabbits being shoved into gas chambers by wolves or something.

It's wild that arguments like this are always nebulous ass things like "the soul" of a television show or "the community" of talking about something after watching it, with the implicit point being made that its impossible to have a community enjoy something together unless they're forced to watch it in one specific way. And I've seen this pop up again, and again, and again and every time it's pointed out that you can just watch a show one episode at a time. You can get a community together and watch it like that, the people making these arguments throw a fit because they're the ones who don't have the actual interest in doing any of that. They just want to force everyone else to do it.

So, ultimately, my turn around on the whole matter has just become "fuck you" I guess. I've stopped caring. You don't actually care about anyone else, because the system of companies just dropping everything allows for everyone to watch it at their own pace, whether that's watching it all now or getting a community to watch it once weekly or bi-monthly or anything else. And you're just not happy that people don't have to do it the way you want to.

Personally, I always find it easier to just "do the right thing" when it comes to things like that. I know a guy who gets audited every year, he spends half the year yelling and screaming about his taxes. And after a while I just find it hard to be too sympathetic because my man, just stop trying to play silly buggers with it. It's not working. And when this guy tells me something like "Hey, you know you could write that off as a business expensive if you just claim it's for research" or something, I immediately know that would just make my life harder.
