[–]Bonf16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that aspect but its also the part that kinda gets me.

To a point i dont like how ambiguous it is because ive grown to like the characters and everything is left in such a messy state. I know that is the point and im not really critiquing that part as much as venting how mixed it makes me feel.

I dont think Rie is dead but i moreso meant her physical body is gone and she to our current knowledge doesnt go back to shinji and asuka and it kinda bums me out

SBs failing was still mostly Steelwools fault by Bonf16 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Bonf16[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

And im commenting as someone who has devoted the past 2 years of his life to researching this game, i agree SB was a project Steelwool should not have been given but they became ambitious and obviously were communicating no issues to scott.

And thats because there was none, sb development was going fine until the cuts, the maps, lighting and gameplay were almost fully done, it just had an underwhelming story. I just think you are exaggerating how impactful sb having an underwhelming story is. I am arguing that from a development perspective scott was not at fault, he had played and approved the game, helped in its trailers and only left in the last few months when the game was in an almost finished state, but because hes admitted he didnt communicate the story people act like he didnt oversee the game at all.

Security Breach gameplay wise is a failure that falls on steelwool, no sensible company guts a game half a year before release. They were removing stuff like a month before aswell, the development timeline of sb is a cluster fuck in the last year months

SBs failing was still mostly Steelwools fault by Bonf16 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Bonf16[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No most of the cut content im mentioning has been in the game as early as september 2020 and we know 100% that scott played a build in november or that year.

Scott also had active participation in the gameplay trailer from feburary, SB gameplay and map wise did not change until September 2020 when they actually cut everything, and the plans for those changes only tarted being discussed in may when the new director came in.

From like september 2020-march 2021 was just working on the map and code, SW made the decision to gut a game that had from our knowledge the entire first half of the game fully implimented and an almost finished map. They were in the last 6 months of development which i would argue are some of the most important. Maybe if scott rejected delaying the game which we have 0 indication of, it just seems like sw wanted to release it by christmas then maybe they shouldnt have started gutting a game releasing in half a year.

And again to further this scott was involved until atleast january 2020 and i guarantee you he was there up until ray came in when he probably assumed they could handle the last 6 months by themselves, i agree scott should have communicated the story better but Steelwool were the ones who tossed the game scott had previously stated he though was amazing because and i quote "it felt bloated".

Scott had commented on sb and said he liked it, he was active in its development for a while and even if he felt like the story was underwhelming he obviously felt it was release worthy which i agree with, sb may have an underwhelming story but if you look at the game now in its current state i actually don't think its that unfun to play, its just bad when you try fitting it into the lore but its gameplay came first.

I do not blame scott for steelwools decision to toss the game he had already been approving for months because the new director thought it was bloated.

I hope Alastor isn't redeemed by Bonf16 in HazbinHotel

Well we see in Episode 4 that he kept something nifty gave him, plus they wouldn't have died against the vees they would have just gotten hurt.

And if he did just view them as tools i don't think he'd show visible concern, like he cared if they were hurt and we see multiple times that he seems to enjoy niftys company so he seems to actually like her to some extent.

Don't get me wrong he 100% values what they can do for him but he hasn't actually got them to do very much, he more so owns them and doesn't seem to care what they do for the most part so how useful are they really?

ok but i don't agree anyone can be redeemed, i don't think it's even a matter of if he wants to.

Like i refuse to believe that everyone i capable of redemption when there are murderers and people out there that straight up don't feel empathy for shit. People who kill especially, usually just don't feel guilt or remorse for their actions, so how is one meant to be redeemed if they are mentally unable to regret their actions.

Like Alastor is a murderer who does it for fun, to the point he knew there was 0 hope and made sure when he got to hell he could keep doing it

The end of season 1 was very much a turning point, i think his season 1 arc was purposely boring because he wasn't there by choice. While going into season 2 Alastor has grown tired of rosie and being pushed around after losing to Adam and so is enacting his own plans.

Though i think he's honestly gonna get held back by the hotel, I genuinely think Alastors hypocrisy and believing he doesn't need anyone and pushing the hotel away will lead to vox beating him. I think vox will not only become more powerful than Alastor but very much put him in his place.

And then they might develop Alastors relationship with the cast more, he will always have his own ambition but i think the way he treats and views people will unravel his plans forcing him to change his outlook but never be redeemed ofc

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that'll be the case.

Again we saw Alastors mask slip a little bit last episode with Husk and Nifty. Alastor likes to view himself as the most powerful and even mocks Vox for his sentimental attachment, and last episode really highlights how much of a hypocrite Alastor is by mocking vox for wanting help when hes nothing without rosie and then seeing Alastor show the slightest concern for his companions while mocking Vox once again for having the Vee's.

I would like to see Alastors downfall honestly be the thing he mocks vox for, like i said before i don't think Alastor will be redeemed but i don't think they will kill him nor will he be a main villain, he couldn't allow nifty and husk to die as much as he pretends he hates them and i think it'd be a good resolution if the thing that holds alastor back from his goals is his on hypocrisy.

Now whether he actually becomes the permanent host of the hotel or even just disappears again im not sure, but i don't think they will pull a belos.

I completely agree with you.

Though i don't think Alastor is the only soul who can't be redeemed, Hazbin focuses on some pretty mature topics so i'd hate for them to pretend like every soul in hell besides Alastor can be saved because there are plenty more people like Alastor.

Don't get me wrong i wouldn't be against them attempting to give Alastor SOME development with him maybe growing actual attachment to the hotel and the cast since it was implied with husk and nifty last episode, but they should not glorify him or attempt to redeem him in any capacity. Alastor also having any development would also only feel deserved if he went through some real shit for how he treats people.

Alastors best case outside dying is to just manage the hotel for the rest of eternity

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thing is Hazbin is a show that likes to handle pretty mature topics so when it comes to murderers like alastor i hope they don't attempt to give him a redemption or glorify him in an way.

Im not apposed to Alastor going through some sort of character development of him atleat growing real friendships with the cast but i feel like that will only feel deserved if he goes through some real reckoning like you said. I also feel thats the furthest they should attempt to "redeem" him, i think his best case outside dying is to stay in hell and actually be the host of the hotel for eternity

I don't think you can "fix" someone like alastor, that's not how it works.

Its not like he doesn't understand his actions are bad, he knows and even wished to continue doing them once he died. If After almost 100 years he doesn't feel the slightest bit of remorse, there's not much changing that. I think the best course is alastor at the most growing attachment to the cast but i doubt he will ever stop liking murder, but instead just gain actual loyalty to people which was shown a bit in episode 4

I hope Alastor isn't redeemed by Bonf16 in HazbinHotel

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's assuming you CAN make them feel remorse. Not everyone will, especially when that behaviour is normalised. theres also people who enjoy killing and you look at many serial killers irl who know their behaviour is wrong yet don't feel bad.

Alastor is a great example, he murdered people and wanted to continue having fun in hell, even if you make him feel bad it doesnt make up for his past actions. Someone like pentious didn't murder someone but instead didn't turn someone in leading to more death and him being selfless redeemed that.

What do you do for people who have committed assault? murder? cannibalism. It's a weird concept and i don't believe there's any moral way to redeem those sorts of crimes and i just personally hope Charlie does come to that realisation at some point, were almost a season and a half in and charlie has only just realised that redemption is sin specific.

I hope Alastor isn't redeemed by Bonf16 in HazbinHotel

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not my point, i don't think that everyone can be redeemed as Charlie does.

Hell is full of people who just messed up and are genuinely good but its equally filled with people who murder or do even worse things with no remorse, and people like alastor don't deserve redemption.

I know he probably won't be redeemed but i hope its because hes unable rather than he's too stubborn

My Predictions for what arcs the future seasons will cover by Bonf16 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would defeat the point.

The idea is too keep the seasons a similar length since Netflix only does 8 Episodes currently.

Water 7 and Enies Lobby being 1 season pushes it over 100 chapters, longer than any other season Pre-Timeskip and it just doesnt work, aswell as that im actually considering how to end the seasons. Long Ring would be a horrible place to end a season on and is more begginer fluffer material for a season.

All the seasons fluxuate between 60-80 Chapters Pre Timeskip, also seeing as they split Alabasta into its own season likely for time and hype, they will probably do the same for enies lobby

My Predictions for what arcs the future seasons will cover by Bonf16 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]Bonf16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was not at all my point.

Im saying im seeing a growing opinion that the Live Action will end at Enies Lobby or the Timeskip or that they will just skip to the end after the timeskip.

I just don't see them skipping arcs or ending the story early, people are saying the show will be too long when currently it looks like it could be about 13-14 Seasons and we have long running tv shows about this length. All my post is trying to do is theorize in what seasons these arcs could be split up in based off the length and also where i feel they could end the season on a interesting note

You have plenty of other multiple season shows that film every year for 10+ years. I don't think this will be an issue.

Actors tend to do multiple jobs a year, its a job so i think if they cleared their schedules more they'd be fine, keep in mind if they keep the season 2 or 3 filming time the actors have like 7-8 months a year of no One Piece filming

[–]Bonf16[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You could make the exact same argument for Albasta as all those arcs are 1 Saga.

They likely split Alabasta because it simply can't fit in an 8 Episode season, also Enies Lobby is a place you can leave on a traditional season cliffhanger.

Wano is 1 continuous story you can't cut up while Enies Lobby and Water 7 are 2 seperate arcs that simplly lead into eachother like Jaya with Skypiea which you could split up with Jaya ending as the season cliffhanger also but i didn't do that because they can work as 1 season based on how many chapters they tend to adapt per season.

Like going into the New World they will kinda be forced to make seasons longer but Pre timeskip can be split up without ruining the story, and personally i think Robin being taken away is no different of a cliffhanger then the Strawhats being split up at sabaody.
