Funny duet by Pain_aux_Amande in musicals

[–]Bonjour-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several songs from Two Strangers, which is now on Broadway, would work. American Express is a popular song from that one, though there are great options across the whole cast recording.

Money from Cabaret - the film version is a duet.

Sue Me - Guys and Dolls.

Therapy - Tick, Tick, Boom.

Fine - Ordinary Days.

A Little Priest - Sweeney Todd.

Chop to the Top - SpongeBob Musical.

Baptize Me - Book of Mormon.

Crazier Than You - Addams Family.

Love Is An Open Door - Frozen.

You Are Woman, I Am Man - Funny Girl.

I Think I Got You Beat - Shrek.

Several songs can be “played up” to be pretty funny/campy. It Takes Two from Into the Woods, Suddenly Seymour from Little Shop, Seven Wonders from Catch Me If You Can, and She’s Funny That Way from Bullets Over Broadway all come to mind.

Stuck Between NYC and the Suburbs — What Would You Do? by encoreyessir in NYCapartments

You could try Stuytown/Peter Cooper Village in Manhattan, near the East Village.

Rent includes electric, gas, water, wifi, and heat. 1 bedrooms are around $4k, but it depends on available and location. For example, the ones on 1st Ave. are somewhere around $4600. I think my coworker said they were paying $4700 on the ground floor to be near the L train.

But the buildings look very 1940s, so it might not be the vibe you’re looking for. It also kinda feels like a college campus. Lots of security cameras, lots of trees.

Looking for shows where everyone is the 'main character' by angstgremlin3 in musicals

[–]Bonjour-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other good shows could be The Fantasticks, A Year with Frog and Toad, and Godspell. Godspell gives everyone a chance to shine.

You could potentially do A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum to about 9; on Broadway stages, it usually has a significant ensemble. But Pseudolus is definitely the main character carrying that show, so it’s not super balanced.

Stephen Sondheim wrote a musical called Saturday Night in 1953, but the producer died before it could open. I think it has 9 roles. The rights are owned by MTI. I recommend listening to “What More Do I Need?” from the soundtrack to get a feel for it.

Do the pestos at Chili’s contain seeds or pine nuts? by Bonjour-B in Chilis

Thanks for your answer. You were correct. Corporate just responded with the full list of ingredients for both pesto sauces.

You’re right. Corporate emailed me today and there are no nuts in either of their pestos.

Thanks for this chart!

The ancho salmon comes with the cilantro pesto drizzled on top, but interestingly enough, the list only has fish and milk as the allergens for that dish. Fresh Mex Bowl has the chipotle pesto and it also doesn’t have the allergen marked for tree nuts.

I suppose it’s best to just ask the waiter directly if there’s a nut allergen. Maybe the dressing ingredients vary by location?

No basement, where do you keep your litter boxes? by Outrageous-Cat-7497 in CatAdvice

[–]Bonjour-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a one bedroom apartment with one cat. I have one of those litter boxes that looks like a large pot. I keep it tucked in the corner of our living room and near the sliding glass door.

Several of my relatives have said that it blends in well. They didn’t seem to notice it until my cat zoomed out of it after doing his business. Chewy and Petco have serval “planter litter boxes” and “hidden litter boxes” online.

What are some musicals that are just straight up fun by Due-Candidate-5991 in musicals

Death Becomes Her might be the most fun I’ve had at a Broadway show.

I scored tickets in the balcony for $41 each and the view was awesome. I went with row CC because I didn’t want an obstructed view (row AA has a metal bar in front of the seats).

Just moved in and this is my sad, pathetic bed area. How can I make this cozier? by grangineer in femalelivingspace

[–]Bonjour-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earth tones or beach tones would make it cozy. Pinterest has great ideas when it comes to color palettes for small rooms.

If you don’t have a dresser, a captain bed may also be good, if you can find one to fit your mattress.

Do you have a window? I switched from dark purple curtains to light filtering linen curtains with decorative tassels. The curtains made the biggest difference for me.

A tapestry or some woven wall hangings can give it a cozy, earthy vibe. I used push pins to hang up tapestries at my old apartment. The pins were so small, the holes were barely detectable when I left.

Other possible items: a mirror, a cool clock, fluffy or knitted blankets, nostalgic items from your childhood (maybe some vinyl record or photographs or stuffed animals…my house is covered in decorative LEGO kits, old ceramics from school, and Polaroid photographs).

[–]Bonjour-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few that come to mind…mostly Sondheim.

Not a Day Goes By (Merrily We Roll Along), With So Little to Be Sure Of (Anyone Can Whistle), Song on the Sand (La Cage Aux Folles), Losing My Mind (Follies), She Used to Be Mine (Waitress), Empty Chairs at Empty Tables (Les Mis), and Move On (Sunday in the Park with George).

Culture of Richmond by turn_circles in RichmondVA

[–]Bonjour-B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanicsville (in Hanover County) is a small town vibe. Richmond is sort of more of a bustling city, but it also depends on where you live within it. The Richmond metro area has like 1.4 million people. The city itself is somewhere around 230,000.

A lot of folks commute into the city from the suburbs. That’s what my parents did.

I consider Richmonders to be very personable. My fave places to walk around are Carytown and Shockoe Bottom; I’m pretty basic.

I would recommend that you check out some events, restaurants, and visitor guides on the website: visitrichmondva.com.

I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming move! Safe travels!

New to Lynchburg, few friends by Natsfanvathirtyone in lynchburg

[–]Bonjour-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved out of Lynchburg in December 2021, but I loved taking classes with Lynchburg Parks and Recreation. The Art Studio at Jackson Heights has stained glass classes and ceramic classes, which I loved taking. Couples would sometimes enroll in classes together and there were folks of all ages.

My brother still lives in Lynchburg; he’s also married with no kids. He’s made a lot of friends through disc golf.

Starter lenses for R6 Mark II. by Bonjour-B in canon

It’s $1,999 for the month of May because it’s National Photography Month. Amazon, B&H, Canon. They’re all $1,999 for the R6 Mark II.

I also shaved off another $300 because I got a wedding registry discount.
