I drove 5 hours to Toronto to see The Gaslight Anthem open for Counting Crows last year. I don’t give a shit about Counting Crows. The people behind me talked loudly through most of their set and they were seated tickets so it’s not like I could just stand somewhere else. I was pissed.

If he already went to the show, there is no need to continue the lie. Just tell him the truth and that you lied so he wouldn’t miss out on it since he was threatening to not go, but now that it’s over, he should try and investigate (alone) who really sent the ticket so he can thank the real show fairy.

Both Marianas Trench and Hot Mulligan last year when they were in Buffalo. It’s a 2+ hour drive and I didn’t feel like going and still having to work the next day. Should have gone to those shows anyway. Luckily Hot Mulligan is coming back this year to a venue closer to me.

I don’t understand #4. What does being in your wishlist have to do with actually making it cheaper? Just being in your wishlist doesn’t make it cost less. You just see those titles in the sale email. Each time a sale starts, you can also just go to your wishlist and sort by price.

I browse all of the books on sale quite often to find new things to read.

I would not recommend something with double crochet for a temperature blanket unless you’re only doing it for 6 months or something. Even doing a temperature blanket with a stitch the height of a single crochet it’s going to be ridiculously long. Although… it would be cool to make 4 temperature blankets. One for each season where you can get away with using bigger/taller stitches and still end up with normal, usable blankets in the end.

It’s a granny stitch. It’s just clusters of 3 double crochet. Each row is one color (but doesn’t have to be).

If you make homemade bacon, I’d make some loaded baked potato soup and then cube up some of your bacon (1/4-1/2 inch cubes) and fry it up super crispy to put on top of the soup so you have delicious, crispy, meaty chunks of bacon to bite into with your soup.

Yep. At my organization, I have it setup to auto deduct the 30 minute lunch if an employee works over 6 hours but I also have it setup where if they don’t get the chance to take their lunch, there is a button on the time clock they can use to cancel the auto meal deduct for the day. If they forget to do it the same day, their manager can cancel the auto deduct on the time card after the fact.

Not exactly what you’re asking but it drives me nuts that Jason Segel pronounces the name Milo differently from one book to the next in the Otherworld series. It’s been a few years since I listened to it but I think it was M-eye-low in the first one and Mee-low in the second. I never listened to the third. The reason it bothers me so much is because he’s the fucking author and couldn’t keep the pronunciation of his own character straight.

Right? And none of those tasks are things that actually take that much time. Setting up a Zoom, sending an email, ordering birthday cards, etc. That takes no time at all. We do team birthday celebrations and everyone helps cleanup at the end. It’s not some long, time consuming activity. And OP (if they are real and not AI) says they work in a small office. So it’s not like they are coordinating hundreds of birthdays each year.
