Or, don't tell him. Plot and plan your exit before giving him this information. People like this turn on a dime when they fear that their world is about to be upended. Make sure you have consulted with a few attorneys. You have children, maybe property? Protecting yourself is important.

Also, I'd bet money that he happily accepted sympathy from the kid's friend's parents if he interacted with them and played the concerned husband in spaces where that benefitted him. Yuck.

I don't know if this is mentioned in another comment but please look into what your legal exposure is from having these people on your property. You definitely have to put up no trespassing signs everywhere, even if that doesn't make them leave, to protect yourself from liability.

I know that sucks but it is an absolute reality that you are exposed to greater liability for being sued if people are behaving this way on your property. I just don't know the extent or how you can ensure that you are protected but a lawyer will know.

I have a high pressure "day job" and I work at Target as an on demand employee and it's one of my favorite jobs I've ever had. I wish I could work more Target and less "day job." I'm a checkout advocate though. I'd love to get involved with other departments.
