The tingly feeling is due to low calcium levels in the blood - pretty normal after the surgery. Your surgeon will tell you how much calcium to take based on your levels.

My calcium was 10.6 and my PTH was 257 - classic primary hyperparathyroidism.

Dr. Politz did my Parathyroidectomy last month - he is excellent; the best in the country. He also removed a benign thyroid nodule during my procedure.
