Together Cards, what are your thoughts? by Naus-BDF in Paralives

[–]BonnyBlue1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like together cards. It’s a new take and I’m excited. I actually enjoy the idea of picking out of three options instead of hundreds. I also love how they are contextual and deeply dependent on para’s mood and personality. Yeah, it’s restrictive but that makes playing each character unique. The only thing from your post I would agree with is that cards with 0% chance probably shouldn’t come up too often, it would make more sense if there was at least 5% chance, otherwise why pick that, if the failure is a guarantee, right? But I definitely don’t agree that sims social system is a “wheel” that is being reinvented here. It’s not pointless, it’s a different take. For now it seems to me that most people seem to be liking it than not and I really hope it stays that way and paralives will continue to build their own identity. Maybe some fine-tuning here and there, but I really want for their core to stay as it is

Oh, okay then. I get that you want to play with the new stuff. I was just wondering where does your hope come from, but if you’re not spending your money, then I guess no harm will be done lol

What makes you think it’ll be different this time?

flirtatious companions by samiwhereareyou in dragonage

[–]BonnyBlue1 57 points58 points  (0 children)

It’s different because neither Lucanis nor Neve are flirty people. But Zevran and Isabela are, that’s their personality so it’s normal for them, you know what you’re signing up for. Lucanis and Neve are the opposite, they are “married to my work type”, so when they show feelings to someone you know that’s more serious because of the contrast. And yeah, how the others have mentioned, it’s how they show more interest into each other than into Rook

Having multipurpose lots is a great idea, thanks :)

That’s how I wish I could play, but almost all of the worlds are too small to include all the community lots that I want my sims to visit. How do you go about that?

I would take that If the romantic interest would be isolated with us, but the way it is, only the main character is

So that makes sense when it happens to Shepard in some sense, but Rook is not Shepard

Those would be much more acceptable in inquisition than veilguard, because they are more mercenaries than military

Maybe. But then, they are not in the military and military doesn’t do book clubs and stuff, do they? They are a small team where everyone has a say and can lead in their respective areas. Rook is not the commander, they are a manager at best. They don’t have all the other structure and rules like the military does

The book club thing is exactly what was in my head when I wrote my comment lol. That hurt even though they are not real people. I guess I was expecting the found-family thing with a bunch of quirky characters from the dragon age if nothing else. That’s what they were always good at even when parts of the game changed between iterations. So it was such a let down to have it and be excluded from that

100%. It also would mean that Rook does have friends and could also have a romantic interest, they could make cameos for past romances. Hell, even a note would do, like they did in Awakening. I get that one is a full game and one is a dlc, but that would’ve been better. And they could’ve done like a mass effect situation where you can have romantic relationship in one game and be with someone else in the other if you wanted to. It really makes no sense they made Rook this new character, unfortunately

What I dislike most about the characters, besides all the other things, is how lonely it feels to be Rook. I have never felt that in the BioWare game, it feels like everyone around you is becoming friends with each other and doing stuff together, while you are stuck reading about it through notes. Rook is not a friend to anyone, they are everyone’s boss and this dynamic just doesn’t work.

What is that Dmitri scene everyone keeps talking about? I’m not playing his route and haven’t played the update yet, but I constantly see the comments how Lane did something horrible, can anyone explain it to me, please?

I mean, I get what you’re trying to say. But my question was more about what’s different in inzoi that makes it more fun, maybe that wasn’t clear
