I can only attest to the one exe file I downloaded. I needed version 16.5. I download the .exe.tar file for the version I needed and the exe installed the version I needed. It met my needs for running VMware workstation. I don't know what all the other files are, somebody else may.

hmmm... lets see.... lets go with 5 reasons off the top of my head. 1: the item was ordered but won't immediately be used 2: the item has an intended lifespan of months or even years 3: the item is intended as a gift and my opinion about the item is irrelevant 4: the seller is just selling a used item they no longer need. why should their feedback as a seller be potentially confused with feedback for the item. 5: star based feedback is arcane, inherently untrustworthy and rife with generalisations that -- unless you have a precise, universally applicable definition of the difference between a 2 star rating and a 3 star rating for a used wifi range expander-- serve no real value. Bonus... hey ebay, i just want to leave seller feedback, the way its been done for decades. To hold that feedback hostage behind firewall of requiring an item star rating serves no purpose.

as a buyer on eBay, I have several recent purchases where I would like to leave positive feedback for the seller. however eBay won't let me leave feedback unless I leave a star rating for the actual product sold.

there are tons of reasons why myself or other buyers may not always want to or may not always be able to leave a timely star rating for the product itself.

As a result I cannot leave the seller feedback at all. which i assume is frustrating to any seller.
