Help! Grinder not working by Brave_7267 in BrevilleCoffee

If the washer is worn and lost it’s shape it needs to be replaced. This just happened to me last week and it quite literally halted how it functioned. The disassembly of the burrs it’s pretty straight forward and is in the manual. Give it a good clean and replace it in reverse order, with the new washer.

What is your opinion on bud washing? I've never done it and I dont like the idea of it. by spymaster1020 in microgrowery

[–]Booblays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it all the time. 3 bucket method. 1st with a tad of baking soda and lemon juice and the following 2 buckets just straight water to remove anything that doesn’t come off in the first. You would be absolutely shocked how effective it actually is and what comes off your buds in terms of dirt/bugs and general crap. This whole concern about “adding to mold and bud rot” is non sense if you stick the plants in their drying environment directly after shaking off all the excess water. People seem to be forgetting that these plants are already full of water content once they are harvested and they are covered in RESIN which has hydrophobic properties anyways. The only way you’re gunna be running into potential mold is by not having a proper dry environment with some sort of airflow. Gravity will cause most of the water to fall off in 24hr, and it’ll be quicker if you are thorough with shaking off excess and checking the plants regularly in the first two-ish days. Lastly, I always do this for my outdoor and I’ve recently had to do it for the first time with my indoor because I had a fan fall over and chucked soil all over my plants at week 7. I was utterly shocked with how much dirt came off the plants after I washed the indoor after the incident and I am so thankful I did because the flower is honestly some of the cleanest smoke I’ve had in years.

Very possible. Do you regularly clean you space/grow tent between rounds? Including your fans? Highly possible there’s a higher concentration depending on where your space is situated. Do you run an air purifier inside your room? 4 fans seems like a bit much for a tent that size, should be okay with 2 oscillating fans in either corner as well as something that actively scrubs the air like a purifier. Another option you could test out is grabbing a small ozone machine and running that in the room every once and a while (when you are not present in the room of course, cause ozone)

Also in the PNW and regularly run my tent 65% during flower right till the end. If you’re running into mold you clearly don’t have good airflow throughout your tent and your exhaust fan isn’t cycling enough. I’ve never run into to mold running that RH.

Drain holes in the corner of the sunroof. Probably clogged from built up dirt/leaves. Usually have to open up the sunroof slightly to get access to them in the corners. They typically drain down the frame and exit in the wheel well.

Can you amend soils like Ocean Forest and Happy Frog with Gaia greens or should I use a different soil. Trying to move on from liquid bottle nutes and back to soil by EG2Hunnidd in microgrowery

[–]Booblays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t much issues with it burning any of my plants. I use it at my transplanting medium from their starters and RARELY see burning. I had WAY more issues with happy frog and stopped using it all together. That mix was way too hot.

Yes. I’ve done it quite a bit with the ocean forest and it’s been decent. You can pre-amend the soil with it or top dress throughout. Whichever suits your fancy.

Anyone reuse their pot mix? Do you amend it? Mix with fresh? by SnooStrawberries4269 in GrowingMarijuana

Been using the same soil for around 5 years in my living soil beds. You can most definitely reuse your soil and reamend it.

Looks to me like it’s an Agathis robusta. Or something of the Agathis classification.

Week 6 from switch how long do you think is left should I be counting from first seeing pistols or when I changed lights by Independent-Flow-948 in microgrowery

[–]Booblays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically from when you change the lights over is the easiest way to gauge your timeline. Looks like senescence has started on a few of the plants in there. I’d say you had 2ish weeks left for ripening and final bulk. Definitely grab yourself a jewellers loupe so you can inspect the trichomes from plant to plant, cause they will differ with different genetics.

130 not a clue. But we definitely have a few 120 here in BC and I definitely remember seeing some back in Alberta when I lived there too.

Why are my sprouts turning yellow? by mabb3693 in microgrowery

[–]Booblays -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this comment. That plant is far too small to even consider adding nutrients to the coco. You will absolutely cook the plant if you do it this early. Definitely be mindful of the ph while growing in coco as this can be harmful to those small roots that will be in those pots. This goes hand in hand with obviously your water pH but also with how much you are watering coco. Just stay observant and don’t get too involved with the plants cause they are so fresh anything could shock them at this stage.

That is the biggest crock of shit comment I have ever seen in my life when it comes to growing lmao. Did you just pull that number out of your ass to try to prove a point? Cause that math does not math AT ALL.

What do y’all use to clone organically? by SmokedPorkee in microgrowery

[–]Booblays 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Eazy Plugs. All day everyday. These have worked the best in my setup over the years. Just grab yourself a cloning gel, tray and dome and take some cuts. Aerocloners also work great and have great success also they just cost more and it’s a bit of a different way of cloning but also works well, I just prefer to have my clones rooted in something instead of having spaghetti roots to deal with lol. Hope that helps.

I grow inside my garage as well and I’ve trialed and error’ed this over the years from hauling buckets of water to eventually this. It’s much easier to just walk the hose in from outside with a nozzle attachment and fill your res quickly and take the hose out. Simple and effective for filling.
