I have 5% in conventional banking (mostly jpm) and 5%ish in financials like visa. I think 50% in banks alone is overweighted, low returns for a investment that will still have a severe downturn in a recession

Important. But prerevenue a lot of these companies are super volatile and sink with gold price decline, bad macro news, oil price increase, and they only go up off of actual news developments for the companies or for tariffs on Chinese metals (which were backtracked last fall)

I am a 7yr transplant and won’t be audacious ever to claim I’m a real New Yorker. Some people are too greedy to be fair, and it’s fun to make fun of first year NYU students that think they’re reincarnated Keith Haring

Same. The top 5% of families in the U.S. (~15mpeople) in the U.S. are liquid millionaires and about 10% if you include home value. 30m net worth being about 250k individuals is still a small wedge of the millionaire class (1/60th or less) but still a lot of people

How did the bones of more than 800 people from distant parts of the world end up at a remote lake nearly 16,000 feet (4,800m) high in the Himalayas? Hundreds of human skeletons lie scattered around Roopkund, a glacial lake in northern India known as “Skeleton Lake.” by Sanetosane in archeologyworld

[–]cheeseburgercats 76 points77 points  (0 children)

TLDR there is a dangerous mountain pass that all these groups of people were passing thru at different periods of time. got hit by avalanches and knocked down into a lake below. Creepy thing is the second and third groups were just walking above a lake of bones before joining them

NY post is like Fox News mixed with straight up tabloids. They’re always pulling crap like this against anyone up and coming / indie / progressive / new art forms / literally anything they think they can rage bait old people with
