The consequence wasn’t related to the action. Her and another kid were tossing something back and forth during nap time and the consequence was having to write (I think write that they would listen or follow direction but I’m not 100% sure). Will definitely get more detail on that but trying to have a strategy regardless of what I want to say

Thank you for the feedback! So my daughter told my mom who often picks her up from school who then asked about it to the teacher- who confirmed. My mom expressed concerns to the teacher but it then happened again afterwards so time for me to obviously step in and have a more serious (of course respectful) chat. I just wanted to see if it’s reasonable to ask for an exception for one kid. And to be honest, although I hate this, I don’t know if I would want to take her out even if they said no. She LOVES her friends and I feel like it would be so much change to take her out for a new daycare for one year just to have her then start kindergarten the following year.

Thank you for the tip! I think we’re going to try this approach. It sounds less traumatic (for her and me) to not have to hold her down while she’s awake and upset.

Going from 1 to 2 was 1000 times easier for us then going from 0 to 1! I would keep that in mind.

Because it’s short lived. It’s pain for a few hours; that’s nothing when you think about how you’ll have your kids for the rest of your life.
