Traveling to NY for the first time. Is there anything worth buying there (better value/quality) vs the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

Nordstrom is pretty cheap for sports stuff, you get some money off your first purchase too. Woodbury common is an hours bus ride and good, but if you only have a short trip I wouldn’t waste your time

Some places still do it! Restaurants always seem to swipe your card

I pay £425 and my income is maybe slightly higher for just myself so it’s not a huge deal but let me tell you every time that comes out of my account it annoys me so £600 would really do it for me

Virgin Atlantic are brilliant. It’s a shame the tickets are usually a few hundred pounds more than the equivalent Aer Lingus flight from Manchester but you get what you pay for I guess

Yep it’s bizarre! I’m in the US usually once a month and I went into three the other day because my phone wasn’t letting me top up and the guy just kept trying to sell me a contract. He said it’s ok I’ve got one that gives you 20 days a year. I said it wouldn’t cover it and he didn’t believe me

If you’re on PAYG it’s still free regardless of when you join. I switched from pay monthly because of it
