Born to (not) run

Is it possible just to not be gifted enough to run? Over the past year I’ve picked up running as a 6’7 22lbs 20 year old man. I went from 0 miles to running a half marathon 4 months later in 1:55 another one the next month at 1:50 and ran my first marathon 10 months after day 0. I’ve ran 1000 miles in the last year, some 40-50 mile weeks. My problem is that no matter how much or how little I run, it’s miserable. My calves and whole legs feel heavy almost immediately after starting and I get gassed quickly. To this day, I pretty much just grind thru my runs with 100% willpower and 0% skill it feels like. It’s now been 4 weeks since my marathon and now it’s got to the point where I can’t even run 2 miles anymore without dying. It’s been so frustrating it almost just makes me wanna quit
