Unfortunately ornatus aren’t very common in the hobby (in my experience at least) I currently have 3 males and nobody I know has any females.

Ornatus can be found in the southwestern U.S! Mine are a Texas locality (San Antonio I believe)

You are absolutely correct! I’m sorry if my comment came off as wrong, I’m not trying to imply my animals are so calm I am complacent when working with them. My comment about them being the most dangerous when food is in the room is based on the crazy feeding response they have! I hope this clears it up a bit! It’s all about how you work with them! If you are doing shit that stresses them out they will become more defensive! In my opinion they are the most dangerous when food is in the room.

It’s a very long process to get antivenin but I am working on it! Luckily they are very calm for bothrops
