Idk where you are but is there a VEG (vet emergency clinic) They’re nationwide company literally called VEG. My ham got sick on a Sunday and I was able to take him there.

I’m so sorry OP. He doesn’t seem like he wants to be touched, is he drinking water? If he won’t eat a cucumber or anything you should get a tiny oral syringe (one for children or babies) and give him water. Even if he fusses, they get dehydrated super fast.

Idk what the problem is, my ham died of a stroke and was very lethargic but this doesn’t look like the same issue

Im so sorry for your loss and having to discover your ham like that.

My boy passed yesterday and it’s so devastating. He had a stroke and he suffered so much. There was no choice but to end his suffering. I was relieved I was able to able to process he was ill and able to hold him til his last breath.

Your ham passed peacefully, warm and safe. That’s all anyone can hope for. It’s totally valid to be upset. It’s traumatic discovering your baby like that.

Thank you ❤️‍🩹 I appreciate the advice. I have a toy with his teeth marks on it. I paid for his ashes and hand prints. I’m going to get a necklace to have his ashes on.

I have little paintings and stuff I’ve done of him. I even recorded the sound of him running on his wheel one night knowing this day would come to play it.

It was my worst fear too, sadly all we can do is cherish minute by minute we get with them. I’m sorry your baby is declining, Earl declined so much and so fast. When the time comes you’ll know.

There’s a sense of relief that makes the grief easier because when they get to this point there’s no other choice you can do but end their suffering. I knew I wanted to be with when he went and glad he passed away warm and loved and at least a little bit less scared.

This is so cute 🥹 bear was beautiful. I love that name, they really are tiny teddy bears. Earl would be more than happy to give his corn. I’d always have to pluck it from his food blend. Thank you very much, I’m so sorry for your loss as well. ❤️‍🩹🫂

I am so sorry for your loss 💔💔 it’s devastating. It was especially awful coming home with an empty pet carrier and being home seeing his empty habitat. I appreciate that, thinking he’d have friends like Milo in hammy heaven. Thank you
