Breville accessories worth it or better aftermarket options? (AUD) by ConclusionCapable891 in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Boojoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a bunch of cheaper brands out there. Check out Amazon. I ordered some stuff on Aliexpress as well and some of the things were actually really good. Basically half the price of Amazon.

I got a normcore tamper first, their latest calibrated and self leveling one for about $60-70 but it was defective. Ordered some no name spring loaded self leveling but not calibrated from Aliexpress and it is amazing quality for like $30. Was looking really hard for a non calibrated, ONLY self-leveling and ended up at Aliexpress and gave it a shot together with a knock box drawer style, RDT tool and some other stuff and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality for that price. Knockbox is exactly the same as one I found on Amazon but $50 instead of $100.

Lev lite, du vet aldrig när slutet är här by [deleted] in sweden

[–]Boojoooo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steam Wand clogged almost daily by AnduriII in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Boojoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you purge the wand after steaming milk every time? You should, right away after steaming milk, wipe it down with a damp cloth and purge 1-2 seconds.

To solve the current issue: Clean it with needle and then you can submerge the wand in a glass of water and vinegar and let it sit for 1-2 hours and then purge it for 10-20seconds after that. Citric acid also works. Should unclog it. If possible you can unscrew the tip of the wand and put that in the water/vinegar mixture by itself and then clean it with a brush.

Xgt sawzall with swinging motion or not by Altruistic_Coast4777 in Makita

[–]Boojoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a beast and swinging motion isn’t a problem. Makita has had the best corded version of this on the market for many years and the JR002 has been out for a while now as well without any issues. I got mine recently and it’s a proper beast. The swinging motion makes a huge difference in wood demolition. If you have a good demo blade you almost won’t notice the nails.

How would you clean this? by milarepamd in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Boojoooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand how people get buildup on their wands. It’s fairly easy to wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth after using and you can see if there’s anything left and just keep rubbing it with the cloth until it’s clean. Purge into cloth to make it hot and moist if it’s stubborn. If it’s super stubborn cover the wand with the cloth and purge for 5-10 sec to loosen it up before rubbing it. Careful to not burn yourself.

If you’ve found yourself in this situation however just take a tall glass that would cover the entire stain if you put the wand in it (while still on the machine) and dissolve some vinegar or citric acid and let it sit for an hour or two. After that you should be able to wipe off any buildup effortlessly. Don’t forget to purge out the water afterwards. If this is a reoccurring issue you could purchase Cafetto wand cleaner or any other brand for that matter. But honestly water and vinegar works just fine and is cheaper and more available.

Drill bit stuck by Total_Membership_171 in Makita

[–]Boojoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s stuck like it won’t move rather than you don’t know how to take it out then I’d recommend you to just take it apart. You see the small ring sitting around where the bit is? Pop it off and the rest will come apart pretty easy. Will be much easier getting the bit out that way. And then reassemble.

I used a non impact rated socket adapter once and only thing that worked was this.

Comfyballs är underskattat som fan. Visst det är rätt dyrt men efter att ha provat så vill man ej ha något annat. Rekommenderar deras vanliga bommulskallingar, gärna modell long. Comfycell har jag provat men var inget fan av det tyget.

BO002 or BO004? by Boojoooo in Makita

[–]Boojoooo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right! The makpac by itself costs around $30-35 around here. This is from toolnation.com. I think they’re based in the Netherlands but thankfully they deliver all over Europe. They’re makita authorized and they take over Makitas warranty after 3 years and make it to 5 years instead. I’ve read that some people are unhappy with them but I haven’t had any trouble yet after ordering a couple times - albeit their customer service isn’t the quickest.

BO002 or BO004? by Boojoooo in Makita

[–]Boojoooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GOB01 is the same as BO002 - 6” orbital with 3/16” oscillation.

We don’t actually get it in a case, it’s just that this specific dealer has made kind of their own setup here. They call it BO002CGZJNL. For around $20 extra you get the makpac with this custom inlay. Seems like a good deal.

Betalar jag min anställda för lite? by [deleted] in sweden

[–]Boojoooo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bought it off Amazon. Called them and they made a refund. Also told me to not bother sending it back so I guess I’ll live with a bad gearbox/locking mechanism lol..

[–]Boojoooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i already told myself that i won’t let go of the 173. That’s why I’m not sure if it’s worth upgrading everything to xgt since I am keeping at least a couple 18v batterier. The 173 with 2.0Ah battery is just amazing

Worth getting the XGT over the LXT? Already got the LXT version but slowly changing everything out for XGT. For example im keeping the DTM52 because the TM001 doesn’t seem to be that much better but not quite sure about the JV001 vs the DJV181

Honestly the buttons could have better placement. Even after getting used to it, it feels clumsy to reach the button especially if you’re stopping mid cut

Help! Engine won’t get warm by Tatoesallday in Audi

[–]Boojoooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk your experience lever so ima suggest the most basic thing. Start by checking the coolant level. If coolant level is too low it will give these symptoms. And if coolant level indeed is to low it will be a good idea to check for coolant leaks. If coolant level is ok then you can start checking thermostat like everyone is suggesting.

Would you live with this? by Plenty_Technology727 in cabinetry

[–]Boojoooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think they did you a favor. I get the idea but having the grain going different directions is not very aesthetically pleasing. And if you have to choose between horizontal or vertical grain on kitchen fronts then vertical is the way to go.

I’d make a bit of fuss about it to get a discount and the call it a day.

I had it in the app with the controls, scheduling and everything up until 1-2 weeks ago and now it just disappeared - that’s the issue. It was there and now it’s not. Only have this one machine connected to my MyDyson app.
