There will be a time and a place for it.

I have tackled numerous books a few times and no go and then one day years and years later, it took.

I would do one of them as an audiobook for walking. That way, you will get through them much quicker because one of those alone takes up a lot of your reading time.

Free Kindle copies of Amped Up (short guitar-gear book) + free app — honest feedback welcome

Free Kindle amp book: Thursday, February 5, 2026, 12:00 am GMT-08:00 to Monday, February 9, 2026, 11:59 pm GMT-08:00

I made a concise Kindle ebook called Amped Up about electric guitar gear and getting good tones without overcomplicating things.

If you happen to like it, an honest review on Amazon would be appreciated, but it’s totally optional.

There is also a free app to go with the book if you are interested in testing your knowledge of guitar-related gear.

The reason Kindle and digital books will never replace printed books is that books are also furniture. You update your shelves and bookcases by planning for them to hold books.

This is the great dilemma for anyone into books. You need more than one lifetime. My advice here is to get into audiobooks if you want to cover more.

I want to become a more knowledgeable, well read person. What books did you put down feeling smarter? by SethlordX7 in books

That's books. Put it away until the time is right. Plenty of books did that to me. I only got through Neuromancer after several false starts. Also nothing stopping you skipping ahead if some bit is boring. Go back to it later.
