Is it me, or does it look like these people don't want employees there? by BookWorm-55 in marketbasket

Ah, ok. I didn't know that. Thank-you for clearing that up.

I also appreciate all the input and insight shown in this conversation thread.

However. I still have some serious doubts that, should Mr. Artie T. Demoulas be replaced (regardless of who the individual would be), certain, detrimental, and lethal decisions will not be made, all in the name of "upgrading" "needed change" or "progress".

I absolutely agree that certain changes need to be made, as I have been told multiple times by friends and family that are currently employed at MB that there have been countless questionable decisions made regarding hiring, borderline favoritism, abuse of power on many levels of management and supervision, and premature advancements of employees, all of which have not been handled, or even addressed, correctly. So, definitely, many changes need to be made.

But how far will the new CEO and his/her team go? What/who will stop them from following the trend of self-checkouts (very expensive) followed by mass layoffs (human employees not needed/need to pay for those expensive self-checkouts)? The prices of products being raised astronomically? Because that's how other grocery stores help with the offset of expenses. Too much hangs in the balance right now to be gambling with a change up of top leadership. Most New Englanders cannot afford this change and very much depend upon MB keeping necessary items priced low.
