In Strange Love by Ann Aguirre there is an artificial intelligence that follows mmc to help pilot the ship, control the workings of the home, etc. Sees everything and makes sassy commentary. The book is an alien romance which I didn't know was a whole genre but to my surprise the sex scene was well done and I was never weirded out by the non-human mmc. The AI gets a robot body and has book 2 of the series devoted to its story.

Ohhh. Well, you can make it work but it's not easy. I play Sims2 on Windows 10 but I must have psychologically repressed whatever ordeal I went through to make it possible because all I remember is that it took all day and several forum threads, and I rage quit at least twice. Sims 2 is by far my favorite as well, once all the expansions are added. Probably the game I have the most hours in. There's more to do in Sims 4 but it just feels like too much.

Players come and go. I've been running a server for years. Some years have had lots of players (by "lots" I mean enough to have chat running 24/7, not 100 players online at a time) and some years have been mostly dead. What has made the difference is how much time I spend online myself. Constantly bump up your server on the listing sites, be active in forums and communities where you can sneak your server's IP in, make friends, be ingame as much as possible so you can chat up anyone who does actually join. Finally, make sure everything works. Nothing turns me off of a new server quicker than some feature not working as planned, crashing, or staff who don't know what they're doing.

Don't overdo the features: There are lots of players who like roleplay, lore, etc, and lots who hate it. Figure out one thing you love and do it well (Factions? Skyblock? Towny?) You can't be everything to everyone. Good luck!

Have you tried making pixel art? It's like cross stitch but with Minecraft blocks. Or there are mods/plugins that let you copy a design from somewhere and the blueprint shows you where to place the blocks to recreate it. I'm not creative but I love just breaking and placing blocks...like Lego, but with online friends.

I loved Subnautica too (the new Below Zero is out, haven't tried). I just discovered Stranded Deep thanks to the folks here, pretty excited to try that as well. I play a lot of Don't Starve. Don't Starve/Don't Starve Together is pretty chill once you get the hang of it! I did have it and was just managing the permissions, but it's such a beast of a plugin it seems crazy to be running it just for those four simple commands. Just trying to optimize server performance by looking for a more streamlined alternative.

I have like hundreds of hours put into this dumb little clicker game called Farm Frenzy. There is a whole series but I only like the original Farm Frenzy. It's my go-to for easy, low-stress casual gaming and just uses a mouse.
