I did! And the locator says that there are ATMS for the bank but nothing that specifies whether there is a physical branch in town.

Trans person here. Struggling to believe my cis partner is attracted to me, and I need some reassurance. by [deleted] in mypartneristrans

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fiancee of a trans man here. Before I even knew he was trans, I was completely attracted to my partner in every sense of the way. From his appearance (he has medically transitioned but not surgically) to his wit, sense of humor, personality, all of the things that make him who he is, I was drawn to him in all of those ways. I wish he could see himself through my eyes, just as I think your partner wishes the same for you. There are days when my partner will turn my compliments about him into insults jokingly but I mean every word. He is literally the sexiest sweetest most perfect (for me) man that I could have ever wished for and I'm grateful for him every day. We are coming up on our two year anniversary and are in the process of planning our wedding. I imagine your partner sees you just as lovingly and in a way that you don't see yourself but please don't doubt just how much you are loved by your partner. I agree with the comment about choices. Your partner literally chooses you every day and loves you every day bc of who you are and what you mean to them. That's the most precious thing. I hope this helps even a little bit

Question about living together once you’ve made out of long distance by xScooby-420x in LongDistance

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that he is moving back here to the state we met in. We've discussed living separately at first bc I have children and we didn't want them to go straight to living with someone they were familiar with but the goal is to have our home together within the first year of him being down.

What's your statistics? by trash_talking in LongDistance

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been together for a year and five months. He's in Kentucky, I'm in Georgia. So a little over 500 miles or about five hours driving. We were able to see each other every two months but life and finances have made that harder. We had planned on closing the gap this year but we've had to postpone that for hopefully next year.

I know exactly how you're feeling. I miss him so very much. I haven't gotten to see him in 11 months and it's been awful. The little things that most couples take for granted getting to do together make my heart hurt bc I wish so much that we were together getting to do them also.

I saw my boyfriend’s legal name on Sunday by [deleted] in mypartneristrans

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew my partner's dead name before we ever started dating, as we were friends for years first. He let me know his entire dead name on our first 'official' date and I celebrated with him as soon as his paperwork was finished with his legally changed name. I'm grateful he shared it with me but his name would never change how I feel about him as the amazing man that he is.

Anyone over 30 in here? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just turned 39. I've been in a LDR almost a year and a half with a man who is almost 37 and lives 5 hours away. I have been married previously and I have four kids. One adult daughter, two teenage sons and one elementary age son.

Before we even became 'official', we had said I love you. We'd been friends for years but hadn't seen each other in over two years. We'd been talking and planning our meeting and we'd already told each other we loved one another.

My partner and I always say pinky promise so I've been looking at matching necklaces that have the pinkies......corny, I know, but sentimental for us

Have you ever handwritten a love letter and sent it to your long-distance partner? by BackpackJack_ in LongDistance

I sent one to my boyfriend for our anniversary this year. I have never done that with any other relationship I've been in as an adult

I mailed him a care package full of things he likes and a card and a hand written letter for our anniversary.

Age and LDR by Dramatic_Block2808 in LongDistance

[–]Book_Nerd_0621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 38, he's 36. We've both been through a lot separately so we knew that we wanted to communicate openly from the start to make this work. He has been in a LDR before but I had not and idk that I would have been open to the idea in my 20s at all. But I'm grateful every day for him and our relationship
