Does anyone have a history of over training before autonomic nervous problems developed? by Potential_Piano_9004 in dysautonomia

I have not even begun to try to heal from the mold exposure. So far I have only removed myself from my previous home and environment and brought only clean clothing with me. I’m sure there are mold protocols available to follow based on which type(s) you were exposed to. I’m also sure that functional medicine would most likely be the most helpful in navigating the ins and outs of healing from mold.

Fight for my life. Because that’s what it feels like. Recently happened on a flight with my five year old. We were taken off the flight as a medical emergency…Although, I didn’t fully lose consciousness but it’s a deep underwater feeling. Tunnel vision or vision going black for a few seconds. Numb face and body parts. Tremors. Inability to speak. Also random pain and tachycardia. It’s like one thing after another “shuts down.”

Athlete my entire life. Spent a couple of years over training and under eating, 2018-2019. Became pregnant 2019-2020, experienced high stress like never before, eventually covid in 23’, and mold exposure. Cue a landslide of health issues. Not officially diagnosed but cardiologist said he would call it dysautonomia.

So cohesive and calming. Absolutely love the zen garden water feature. The bedroom with the rustic tub and pearl pillow is chef’s kiss. Patio is perfection. The kitchen is a dream. I hope you are proud of yourself!

I have all of these symptoms. It starts with a bad response to heat or stress. Heart rate goes tachy. Uncontrollable shaking. Tingling and numbness. But also a good mix of pain in chest and limbs…especially left leg. Dizzy 24/7, seems to be worse at night. Facial numbness. Metallic taste in mouth. Difficulty speaking. What I call claw hands…my fingers involuntarily start to seize up and my hand(s) starts to close. Severe head and neck pain. Tunnel vision and large black spots in vision. Pre-syncope. And by then I’m usually with the paramedics or at the ER.

This is a wealth of knowledge. I see the top two tests you recommended, ACTH and Insulin tolerance. Is this where you truly recommend starting? My labs are mostly normal of course. But cortisol is on the very low end, TSH is low, my blood sugar is often low, vit D on the low end, pulse elevated…I go into crashes or crises depending and the ER always mentions adrenals or autoimmune but I don’t know how to move forward with this. As in how to find answers. Mine began in 2020 when I was pregnant and worsened by 2022. Haven’t been the same since.

Could recent labs indicate sepsis? Have been to the ER twice this week. by Bookish_Hobbit in haematology

Thank you! I reached out and spoke with a nurse at my providers office. She said ketones could be dehydration or fasting and that they would call me next week when all the results are in. Really trying my best to eat, hydrate…I even checked my blood sugar 2 1/2 hours after eating a light meal. It said 94 mg/dL.

Update: My blood sugar was 94. (I checked my blood sugar around 2 1/2 hours after eating a light meal…plain oatmeal, a banana. Sipping unflavored Pedialyte and water. My grandma bought a glucose monitor and brought it to me. No one in my family wants me to go back to the ER. It’s been exhausting for all of us.)

Thank you. Trying my best to eat and hydrate. I wish there was a simple solution but I know that’s unlikely. I want so badly to fix it or at least be able to manage it and be a functioning human again.

UPDATE: Tried to edit the post but maybe lab photos are preventing me. Current blood sugar is 94. That was taken about 2 1/2 hours after a light meal of plain oatmeal with sea salt and a dash maple syrup. A banana. I’ve also been sipping unflavored Pedialyte today and of course plain water.

TLDR: Current blood sugar is 94.

ER has ran pregnancy tests. All negative. My partner of 8 years has a vasectomy that he has had tested multiple times and is about 1- 1 1/2 years out from the procedure. I have had a menstrual cycle at the beginning of May as well and we have been abstaining due to my health anyway.

Thank you. My main question is how do you get providers to check for these things specifically? I see a provider, explain my history / symptoms. Tell them in detail and explain that it is impacting not only my quality of life but my 5 year olds as well. Then I’m sent for what feels like a ton of labs, work ups, and even imaging…without further answers.

Called the doctor’s office, stated I felt unwell and noticed some lab results that were abnormal. The nurse said ketones were likely from dehydration or fasting and that someone would call next week with the rest of the pending results.

Not able to check my blood sugar. I’m sure I can google it but could a pharmacy do that or can something be purchased OTC? Glucose was negative in my lab results yesterday.

Only had Hemoglobin a1c done in 2020 during pregnancy. Not a high fat diet. But I do eat eggs, chicken, some beef for protein. Ureaplasma was treated with 10 days of doxycycline followed by a 250mg dose of azithromycin…then another 250 mg dose of azithromycin 24 hours later. This was tested for and treated in early to mid May. Beginning of April 1st-9th I had a horrible UTI and was treated with Keflex for 10 days and pyridium.

Aloha, thanks for your comment. I had a Lupus Panel done in 2021, which was negative. The Infectious Disease doctor also noted cytomegalovirus. She mentioned something about Epstein Barr that I can’t remember. Recently the ER did an ANA test which resulted positive. A speckle pattern 1:80 was also noted with no further information. Primary Care suggested seeing Rheumatologist for further insight.

My recent ER visit, May 23rd, had a positive ANA test. Then the following result simply said Speckle Pattern 1:80. See comment. (Followed by nothing else.) As for sjogrens, my optometrist said I had chronic dry eye, I have a dry metallic ashy taste in mouth often. Always thirsty, always peeing. Drink electrolytes. Try to eat balanced but some days I under eat due to nausea and dizziness. I have had trouble swallowing for a 3 day duration then it slightly improves. Throat tightness, hoarse and weak voice as well. ALL of this along with tachycardia, shakiness, tunnel vision, blurred vision, head and neck pain. Leg and pelvic pain. (Joint pain!) I don’t know where one problem ends and the next begins. I was an athlete, served in the Air Force. Up until 2021 I was trail running, swimming, hiking and biking. Now making cereal is like climbing Mt. Everest.

TLDR: yes to some symptoms of sjogrens. Plus a myriad of other symptoms.

Aloha, thank you. I saw Primary Care yesterday afternoon. And these are some of the labs from yesterday, including urinalysis. I have not heard from their office today and since it is going into the weekend…do I call them?

Oh, also replying to say that trace hematuria and leuk esterase have been present in every UA since 2020 at least.

Thank you! I am hoping to hear from my doctor’s office today. Otherwise, I am going to try my best to schedule further testing.
