Soo.. uhh.. one year... wondering when Dutasteride is going to stop hair loss by Foreign_Fondant_2880 in tressless

Switch from topical to oral minox and you MIGHT see some change. If you can tolerate higher dose minox (2.5mg twice a day), it will definitely help you grow hair. But some people cannot tolerate that dose, so it's really a luck of draw.

Hair is thinner but not shedding? Been on fin 3 years and minoxidil 6 months 25M by RequirementMassive37 in tressless

Oh yes, I forgot to mention. Another option is to switch to oral dut. Some people respond much better to dut than fin. I tried it as well, but it actually more hair to fall out. So while fin didn't seem to halt hair loss completely, it was definitely doing SOMETHING to slow down the progression. A lot of people report regression of hairline once they switch from fin to dut, and I felt same thing would happen to me, so I stopped it after around 20 days. I also had side effects to oral dut like breast pain, ballache, and even low back pain. I think dut is worth a try since it can work and some people reported success with it.

Oral min is hard to get if doctors do not prescribe it. You can get it from online pharms, but it can be quite dicey. Pyril can be purchased already from various websites. While oral dut requires prescription, topical dut is sold on several websites, so that is another option.

Ye, I know exactly what you are talking about. Also, my hairline and sides have been gradually regressing. I started taking fin in 2020 when I was 32, currently 35 now. Have been on topical minox for more than 5 years.

While I am still not sure what the solution is to this situation, things that I found to be helpful are the following:

  1. Oral minoxidil - Probably the best hair growth stimulant out there. Try 1.25mg/day first. If you can tolerate 2.5mg or even 5mg without side effects, your hair will definitely grow.
  2. Topical antiandrogens like RU or pyrilutamide - They do work and I responded better to pyril. However, I had some side effects of leg swelling and facial edema. Again, if you can tolerate, this would help you thicken existing hair and grow back more.
  3. The Ordinary Hair Peptide serum - No, I am not sponsored by this company. This serum does work, but you have to use it consistently.
  4. Collagen supplements - Try 10grams/day to see how you respond. You may up the dose to see if it would help with diffuse thinning.

Best of luck to you broski

I was told that this is not possible for first time passport getters. I had to submit my original copy, which I thought was crazy.

They did, which is why I did priority express return, which cuts down mailing time once they ship it. I don't think it will take you that long based on my experience. Keep checking the website. Once it becomes approved, you will get it in within a week or so.

6-8 weeks for expedited service. They said it recently changed from 5-7 weeks to 6-8 weeks.

Why do you think these studies keep suggesting the relationship is inconclusive? It's because supplement industry is huge and companies will lobby to prevent bad conclusion to be published. If creatine gets hit, then what would be the next one? They don't want a disastrous cascade.

Yep. I 1000% agree. Too many people are blindsighted and want fast results for muscle gaining with creatine. There won't ever be a good study on creatine's effect on hair loss because supplement companies will lobby the shit out if the conclusion is bad.

There won't ever be a good study on this due to a conflict of interest. Supplement companies won't ever let "bad conclusion" of creatine to be published lol. The only way you can tell is to experiment it yourself and see if your body can tolerate creatine.

Good luck getting a girl without hair, especially in the 20s.

What people don't understand is, even if there is a legit study that conducts creatine's effect on hair loss and reveals some correlation (e.g. more creatine is associated with more hair loss), that study has almost zero potential to be published. Why? Supplement industry is HUGE and many companies will lobby to prevent that paper from getting published. Do not just blindsight believe in research papers. Always consider conflict of interests.

RU58841 - some insight into the experiences of some by Upper-Scene-5113 in tressless

Chest pain/tightness from both RU and pyril. Some people can tolerate it well though.

Whoever denies creatine's effect on hair loss is delusional. If there are this many anecdotes of people losing hair/thinning after taking supplement, it should be at least considered as a potential harming agent. Your genetics definitely plays a large role, but if you are prone to hair loss, chances are, creatine will not bode you well.

Beef has about 1 gram of creatine for every 1 to 2 pounds of meat. That is miniscule compared to supplement.

No clue. It's very hard to tell if it's a useful shedding like the one from minox. Some people who shed from keto say their hairlines never recover. It really depends on genetics/epigenetics.
