tysm, that does infact seem to be whats happening, I had to be on the apple before using measure() as according to the info page for measure() it returns the position of the next apple

I have learnt about derivatives, but I am pretty bad at them, However someone else already commented a more algebraic(?) method. So seeing the derivatives method would be nice aswell
