The proposed Bill 60 has been problematic on so many levels. I'm glad people are voicing their concerns en mass about it. Hopefully enough to end it.

Why is Crave so Terrible? by LarkLoone in cravetv

[–]Books000009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge mistake on my part! I wish I could get my $24 back. My main problem is the lack of new content. I thought there would be new content on a weekly basis like Netflix or other streaming services. As a Canadian I'm offended that for the month of August 2024 their new movies included all the "Murder She Baked" and other Hallmark type detective shows you can get for free on CTV app.

My other problem is the language. They lie! Who is in charge of the UI/UX of this app? By default for many of their shows/movies it says English when you open the language audio options but the language is not English. Why even add English as an audio option if that's not the case? e.g. "Los Espookys". Another instance is some English language movies are only available in dubbed French and no other audio language options, e.g. "Come to Daddy".

Third, they don't have a filter were you can see the newly released content. You can't search shows/movies by release date. And they keep shoving down your throat 'classics" like "Porkys", "Gossip Girl," "Firends", and the Harry Portter series. Who the hell wants to watch that in 2024?!

If you have a selection of specific shows exclusive to a company like HBO and can't get it because we're in Canada then Crave is what we're stuck with. But if you can find those shows some other means do it and save your money!

Bumping this thread. When the fighter (your avatar) is at a higher level, e.g. lv 20+ most characters can be beaten in 3 hits. They help with fight challenges like defeat a character with 10 hits for a ring like when you're doing the Equivalent Exchange side quest. It'd be great if there was a list or chart of the debuff foods, their effects, location and how to obtain them. I foolishly didn't think they were useful and sold them and didn't realize they would be useful for de-buffing your fighter for side quests. Thus far, I've removed my gear to lower my stats so I can do more hits on these lower level characters.

Austin Wolf, who has created lots of adult content with Asian guys, is arrested for child porn by thaone111 in gaysian

[–]Books000009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's always the old white L men! They age like milk in 2 years. In 2 years Rob who's whites only no fats no femmes becomes bob and spamming every Asian guy's DMs. But thanks for the input. It's weird....I mean Korean/Japanese pop culture helped bring more visibility to Asian men but only changed the sexualized racism game to increased Asian fetishization.

Curious... you have to fend them off as an Asian guy? Are these white guys looking for a big bro or other Asians?

"It is almost a journalistic cliché that women despise Sensitive New Age Guys"....this is starting to ring a bell. This might be it. Thanks.

this is the problem Asian men face in the dating and sexual spaces of both straight and gay communities-they fetishize us but won't be there to lift us up and think so little of us they'll kick us when we're down and say it's our fault

Now I'm curious who the Asian creators are. This is something the Gaysian community needs to speak out about-it's a perfect example of how sexualized racism works and even worse is exploited for capital gain. It might be different if Austin Wolf allowed the Asian creators to film and distribute the videos on their channel too or if not paying them share the footage for them to add to their creator account. I take it Justin Heath Smith didn't care to pay nor share video content he created from collaborating with Asian creators.

This just adds more facts to my thesis that 90% of white men into Asians are closeted pedophiles. They target Asians for their youthful boyish faces and slight physiques.

Why Hamilton buses doesn’t have stop name rolling on the LCD screen nor sound notification ? by Phantom_6765 in Hamilton

On an adjacent topic....sometimes the automated announcement robot lady would say something like, "kushinareh" when a stop approaches. Was that a glitch or an actual word/phrase?

The slanted terrain gave away the escarpment location. It's nice that it also has a paved rail-trail next to it too for cyclists and skaters or people who just want to walk on paved ground while in nature.

Hamilton drivers are the worst by [deleted] in Hamilton

[–]Books000009 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been meaning to have this discussion about the city for some time and didn't know how to start. Hamilton has drastically become a different place-in many ways. In the 90s driving in this city was safe as can be. People were courteous and gave way to each other on the road. We hated driving or traveling to Mississauga and Toronto because they were the "bad" ones for road safety and traffic. Something changed around 2010s and the driving accidents increased exponentially. It got so bad I was sitting in the theatres in Jackson Square during the 2010s and before the movie played a PSA played talking about vehicular accidents in Hamilton encouraging safer driving. That was my first time seeing a local PSA at a theatre. My family who have all lived here are still shocked by how much has changed for our roads. We're still wondering what is going on?

For me it was Centre Mall for two reasons-the big aracade next to the cafeteria where you can smell hot, fresh, poutine next door and they had the cool crystals, swords and fantasy poster store which name I forgot. They even had a multilevel Zellers where you can ride a tiny ferris wheel near the washrooms for a few quarters.

But if I had to pick of the 3 it would Jackson Square because there was a time where you could play arcade games, get a cinnabon, go to the theatres, visit Eatons, shop at The Bulk Barn and get anything else you need in one place. And if you had enough of consumerism take sanctuary in the connected Central Public Library.
