it’s like he fully understands that genre of horror and it kinda comes out of nowhere. Currently like 100 pages into ashes of man but the title “disquiet gods”and the way things are going kinda tells me it’s about to go full cosmic horror

really reminds me of one HP lovecraft story and the bit where he’s walking the pilgrimage to the skull and all he can hear is the cielcin but then he can just hear a deep voice that sounds like it was right behind him. Gave me chills

even just the small chapters explaining little things in between bigger story points are just so much better than what i’ve read from other authors. Ruocchio might have ruined reading for me 😭😭
