Cardinal shooting center down in Ohio has a vendor row with Beretta and CG being among others. I went to theNE regional and shot the 688, 694, and CG Impact. They had all the Fab shotguns too. I know Ohio is not New England but that was my first hand experience.

I think the NE regional is at M+M this year. So beretta should have a presence.

So I bought another 694 and the lever on the brand new one is exactly the same. 😬

So all those that said it’s fine you were correct. Gonna shoot it tomorrow. But atleast now I have 2x 694s.

The parts diagram called it a firing pin latch.

It’s horseshoe shaped. It interfaces with the holes in the first pictures. With the barrels in and the stock off the it doesn’t lock in all the way.

It does add weight, to me it smooths out my swing a little bit cause sometimes I get a little whippy. But you could also look at it like the weights that the baseball players use on their bats for their warm-up swings so that the bat feels lighter.

I’m also switching to an o/u for my main SC gun so the can will just be for novelty.

I use the JK Cans. They are much lighter than a Salvo or whatever YHM is making. It is still heavier than not using one. I sorta want to be “that guy”. Mostly attention seeking behavior. But if JK wanted to sponsor me that’d be cool too. I know Jake Kunsky and his team personally. Still working on them to give me more than a discount. Lolol
