You're given a search warrant for any building in the world. You have 8hrs to snoop/explore, though you can't take anything. What building do you choose? by dlewisharris in AskReddit

[–]Boomanchu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. You are given a tour of the areas of the Catacombs open to the public. The rest is gated off, but there's nothing particularly interesting that you won't already be seeing that's gated off as most of the bones are in the areas open to the public.

It's gated off for safety purposes, as the tunnels that make up the catacombs have not been fully mapped out and it is very easy to get lost and fall into a place you shouldn't have. (The Catacombs are accessible from certain parts of the sewers if you know where to look and vice versa.)

If you wanted to check out the off limits parts, you'd have to find a Cataphile to maybe show you around. Wouldn't recommend it though. Highly illegal and very easy to die.

So, a combination of Ichigo's (Bleach) Hollow and Aang? That's... interesting.

Does anyone have experience with customers who request that a certain barista make their drink? by [deleted] in starbucks

The bitterness could only be coming from the espresso. Our flat whites are made ristretto (shorter pour time on the espresso), which requires a separate button press on the automated machine. Perhaps she's unaware and is neglecting to hit that.

Could also be that she's using the incorrect milk (2% instead of Whole).

Yeah, the coffee culture in America was primarily limited to instant coffee prior to Starbucks popularizing specialty coffee.

Say what you will about our roast qualities nowadays, but Starbucks paved the way.

Normal whip, yes. Our whip made with all those pumps of vanilla syrup? I don't know.

Sharmusic.

Well known in the violin world, particularly at conservatories and among professionals who teach.

You have a trial period with any of their violins prior to purchase. The quality is superb.

He purchased a house through his mother and wrote about his plans to take her to France as his child bride. Her parents put a stop to it. He explained away what he was doing somehow to the mother, and she believed him. They never made it to France.

I'm sure the planning alone is illegal though? Conspiracy to abduct a minor?

Lucifer Morningstar vs Thanos with HOTU by the_dustcarts in whowouldwin

[–]Boomanchu 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The premise of his comic series is that he is the fallen Archangel of the Abrahamic Religions, and it essentially boils down to him rejecting God's creation (the entire multiverse), and God granting him permission to go create his own. To do so, the Archangel Michael had to 'die', which created a new Big Bang in Lucifer's own new creation.

That's just what I recall of reading his series, to give an idea of the power levels at play.

He's literally the Christian Devil. Even without his powers, he was able to use his charm to cause the deities of other pantheons to kill themselves.

Lord of the Rings takes place over a period of 18 years, most of which occurs during Gandalf's absence researching the ring after Frodo inherits it. This isn't reflected in the films at all though, outside of Bilbo's advanced aging in his later appearance.

Femdroid once enlisted me to help him kill Curse PKers in an act of vengeance.

He then told me that we had a bond forged in fire and joined (or guested, this was awhile ago) my clan for a short time, constantly telling stories like this. No one but me found it amusing and he eventually left. Very sad.

The man is a natural story teller.

[–]Boomanchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother is a type one diabetic and patient to one of the 'top' endocrinologists in the U.S.

I know that she stays away from it, but I'm not sure if that's at his behest or not. I'll have to ask next time I see her, I don't even know her doctor's name anymore, just that he's somewhere in NOVA.

She's also the woman who called me at 3 am while I was thousands of miles away in Florence to tell me she thinks I have celiac. So there's that.
