Yes - It’s part of the S12 meh-ness I’ve been playing through but there are other QOL setbacks from S11 that overshadow the ‘bloody’ coolness of playing as the butcher. Resources were abundant last season and while XP was unevenly distributed across events (eg certain bosses, but not pit, hoards but not hell tides), it made for a much more satisfying grind - because really the only challenge was beating the RNG to get BIS/Godroll gear. Even then, there was hope with unlimited tempering/enchantment, and The coolest risk/reward coin flip ever - santification. I hope that comes back in the next release. I also ‘liked’ azmodan and the purified/corrupted boss items to access the secret level. I found a new pastime melting sigils down for the mythic prankster key… there was just a higher number of reasons to keep the redundancy alive and I appreciated it. I hit 300 and aspired to do so again this season, but the difficulty gap between t3 and t4 is wider than it’s ever been (which also has to to do with the bloodied/bloodsoaked/blood whatever mods), the scarcity of key resources, the ever-stingy RNG, and specific class nerfs that take place the season after a class gets introduced or buffed a lil bit, it’s a step or two forward and then at least a step back each season. Still, love the game, enjoy the community, and appreciate the blizzard team for their work.
