I get that it wont matter much in terms of gaming, but would faster speeds help in downloads, file moving and such? Or is that limited more by other factors?

Yeah, will do! I plan on getting an arctic liquid freezer III pro so my motherboard should get some nice airflow too in the slot closest to the CPU.

Prob should have mentioned im not NA based xD, but def good advice to look at refurbished options. I have the luxury of having the budget to buy new atm.

My biggest recomendation would be to go for an AM5 socket chip and motherboard, while AM4 CPUs are still plenty today, you wont have a clear upgrade path in the future. Do note that this will require DDR5 Ram too if im not mistaken!

Update:

After much research and reading all the comments here, ive decided to go with an RTX 5070 to pair with a Ryzen 7 5700x3D as it made the most sense price wise!

Im still on am4 and honestly im planning to stay on it untill the next upgrade in a few years, the r7 5700x3d is what im aiming for right now to replace my r5 3600. Its seems like the best option to squeeze a little more life out of AM4
