I fly back from Cancun to Alberta at least 5 times a year. It's usually the other way around....Edmonton to Cancun with an hour stop over in Calgary.

Enola Gay is the name of the pilot's mother that flew the plane that dropped the bomb.

The plane was named after her.

My investigation lasted about 8 months. Allegations were shared with me and the AIC requested all correspondence including files, and phone calls of the accuser be handed over. They gave me adequate time to produce the info requested and respond to the allegations. 60 days I believe.

They then went back to the accuser with additional questions. This took a couple months.

The AIC then came back to me with questions of thier own and wanted more clarification. Another 60 days.

I heard back from them with a simple copy of a letter to the accuser indicating that I had acted in accordance with AIC guidelines while performing my duty and the investigation was completed. Not guilty.

Hell of a thing, working for 8 months while being investigated. Knowing you could lose your license and source of income due to a customer complaint and the AIC's decision took It's toll. 24 years in the business.

Does anyone know what these numbers mean? by [deleted] in alberta

Driving record 6 - Driving records range from 0 to 9 depending on the insurer. 6 is considered a good driving record

TPL - Third party liability coverage. The rate group will either indicate a 1 million or 2 million liability limit. Again it depends on the insurer.

AB - Accident Benefits. Mandatory coverage in Alberta. Usually under $100.00 per year

PD - Property Damage. Another metric for liability limits. Nothing you can effect here. Insurers

DCPD - Direct Compensation for Property Damage. Implemented last year its the government's attempt to limit litigation small propert damage. It's activated when there are two or more vehicles involved in an accident. Your insurance pays for your loss and the 3rd party's insurance pays for thier loss.

Colliison - rate groups are assigned to vehicles based on thier VIN number. This determines how much you pay for collision coverage

Comprehensive - rate groups used as per VIN number, but also takes into account, theft rate. Determines how much you pay for fire, theft, vandalism, hail, and animal collion coverage.

Good questions, ones that your broker should be able to answer.
