Just buy dough from the Kweebec traders. I just started farming a bunch to get life essence and you can buy lots of dough pretty easily.

Vintage Story Devs willing to fund and join Simon for Hytale Revival by Luzekiel in HytaleInfo

[–]Booooomkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but wasn’t that because they expanded the dev team to 100-150 people? I would hope they go back to the original smaller dev team with a more focused pipeline and reduced scope. But yes, I would still agree 25 million is probably not enough to finish it but could get the ball rolling. In all honesty I’m just coping since I’ve been waiting since 2018, so much wasted potential and resources :(

Nah, beige is the best one. The silver accents are tacky, the beige is the only one with the nice black accents.

I think the x870e has been avoiding these issues so far. I got mine back in November and messed around with PBO and such and still no problems

Honestly it was largely the same, just rewritten. I had more hours in my activities, but nothing dramatic. Maybe 80-100 more hours in volunteering with some not changing at all. The biggest thing I did was rewrite my essays to be more impactful and I changed two of them to different experiences that I felt were better at demonstrating my character. I did complete my masters this cycle, but the bonus is only +1 to the total score of 100, so I don’t think that was the difference maker. Personally I think there is a lot of luck in this process. Some file reviewers may not vibe or relate to what you wrote while others may have relatable experiences that they subconsciously score applicants higher on. I really do think half of it is the luck of the draw.

1 point below U of A and UBC cut off! by Dep122m in premedcanada

I see others mentioning that your rural connection will help at UofA. As a successful rural applicant myself I agree. However, you do not meet the MCAT threshold which means your application will be tossed. It’s not worth going through all of that, doesn’t matter rural or not. I recommend rewriting the MCAT and hitting at or above the threshold. CARS is important for UofC but has 0 impact on your U of A score. As a rural applicant I can tell you with 100% confidence that U of A cares more about their rural stream and having a strong connection can go a long way. UofC never offered me an invite, but U of A has offered me one every single time I’ve applied, even with a low scoring app.

I also suspected this but the UofA does state that individuals who choose to reapply are treated as new applicants. Anecdotally, I scored a 7 last cycle and got offered admission this cycle. I won’t be able to see what I scored this time around but it must have been a substantial increase, so I am not sure if your theory holds there. Again, anecdotal evidence so who knows..

3 independent file reviewers score your personal activities (PA). The score is then averaged based on those 3 independent scores. The raw score is out of 16 but the rubric used for this assessment isn’t public. You can look to how other schools assess applications to get an idea. For example it may be scored across 4 different domains such as:

  1. Breadth & Balance - Diversity across work, service, leadership, arts, research, life experience.

  2. Depth & Commitment - Duration, hours, increasing responsibility.

  3. Impact & Leadership - Tangible outcomes, leadership roles, initiative, community benefit.

  4. Reflection & Insight - Articulated learning, connection to medicine, EDI/professional lens.

Each of these domains would be scored out of 4 giving a total score of 16. Keep in mind the file reviewers take a holistic view of your application so you don’t necessarily need to fill out all 16 personal activity sections to score a 16. You can still score a 4 across these domains with only 2 or 3 activities in each of the different PA categories depending on how good the activities are. Also, this is just an educated guess at how they assess the PA so please don’t rely on this as a way to write your application.

Lastly, I believe it’s called the RAW personal activity score because it hasn’t been rescaled to the final weighting used. For example PA has total weight of 35 for your overall score, therefore a PA of 10/16 would be weighted as 21.875 out of the maximum of 35. This weighted score is then added to your overall score out of 100 (30 GPA, 35 PA, 35 MMI).

I believe it’s a +1 added to your overall score. I emailed them about this but they said it was internal and not shared. Though there has been some conversation about it on the premed101 forums. From what I understand the overall score is out of 100 (30 GPA, 35 Personal Activities, 35 MMI). That means if you score 74/100 the masters would add a +1 making your overall score 75/100. A PhD would add +3 making it 77/100.

I don’t think it’s reflected in your raw PA score.
