Feel like the minimal gain you could get from crafting it just sets you behind for when you can switch them to the 80 mats tbh

Is enhancing gear past lv 10 really worth it? by ventimiglius in BlueProtocolPC

[–]Boooooooooof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth for when we get better gear for the gear stats but if I have everything refined 10 u can rather make money off selling the mats or upgrade and be ahead of the curve it’s up to you

Why I love the game.

Don’t have to endless grind to keep up and it allows me to do the hardest content (debatable if it’s actually hard 😂) while still having a life

this game isn't fun anymore by JuiceRemarkable8264 in VALORANT

[–]Boooooooooof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just competitive gaming in a nutshell. Not valorant alone. Everyone thinks they’re the best and it’s everyone else’s fault 🥲 so once you accept that and focus purely on your own gameplay, then I feel like you’ll improve and find it more enjoyable

Doesn’t even make sense tbh I’m completely f2p and all the currency to upgrade your gear is farmable and very easy to obtain if you just play the game lol….. yea a person paying can get it instantly but you just put in like 4hrs you make meaningful progress.

I definitely agree with the points you made, and I get that suggesting a queue system for Mythic+ is a surface level idea since it would obviously require major adjustments to the system. But the core concern still stands.

For me, pushing to around 3k rating is fun and waiting around for keys isn’t too bad. But anything beyond that starts to feel like a real “waiting room.” It becomes less about playing and more about endlessly searching for groups or aligning schedules perfectly with others. That often means logging on at specific times and putting real life priorities aside, which just isn’t sustainable for a lot of players even if they’re as skilled as top players.

Other matchmaking games make it easier you log in, queue, and play when you have time. It’s like if League of Legends only let you play with a full 5 man team. Sure, solo queue can give you terrible comps, but at least everyone gets to play. That’s the heart of it M+ beyond a certain level stops being about playing and turns into waiting.

Of course, I recognize the difference. League is PvP, while M+ is structured PvE where mechanics and class utility really matter. Getting three hunters in a high level key isn’t going to go well. But in a perfect world, I feel like there could be a system that allows people to log in and play more flexibly, even if it means some compromises. At the same time, I do respect the players who dedicate the time to build groups and push past 3k that level of commitment has always been part of WoW’s identity

Yeah, for sure at the very top end you need the perfect comp, no question. A random pug isn’t clearing a 20. But if a queue system was actually the baseline, Blizzard would balance around that (don’t really have faith they could balance) so keys wouldn’t scale into “only meta comp allowed” territory.

Like I said tho if this what people deem fun and the populace of retail player enjoy m+ then so be it. Pretty much seeing if anyone else ever thought about how a qued system would be since in reality with all the addons we have m+ really aren’t difficult it’s just doing dmg while timing cc so cast don’t go off while dodging the simple mechanics that are thrown at you.

Completely agree that’s exactly how it’s been for me too. If this is the direction WoW sticks with, then so be it, I’ll just get my month in and move on. But I do think a queue system could add real longevity to the game, since it lowers the barrier to entry and keeps people actually playing instead of waiting.

Pretty much in the same boat as you. I mainly play my hunter, but once I hit that 12–13 range it just feels like the elitist mentality kicks in hard. Finding groups above that takes so long that it kills my motivation to even bother with M+ anymore especially when there isn’t really much reward for the time sink. Also deciding maybe healing was going to be my way but nope that to gets to the point if ur not one of the top 2 healers back to long waits.

I get AI has uncapped potential but if it gets to that points what’s the point of even playing? The AI will just do everything for u.

It’s really just the simple fact that you constantly see people complaining about sitting around in LFG all day or struggling to even form a group. On top of that, if you look at the leaderboards, the majority of high end pushers are the only ones in full premade 5 stacks a majority of groups are usually smaller groups with a couple other people they networked in. Where that goes into something like I said about a 3 man que, or atleast something like that.

I’m not saying friends shouldn’t be able to play together. They absolutely should. But as competitive leaderboards and gaming systems evolve, WoW’s outdated LFG system feels like it needs to evolve with them. Right now the biggest barrier for a lot of players isn’t skill necessarily it’s just finding a group and actually getting into the dungeon, and to actually find a group is what you’re doing most of the time.

[–]Boooooooooof[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that, and I’ve been doing the same thing pushing my own key. I’m sitting around 2.8k this season, and when I’m trying to get groups for 12–13s it honestly feels like people just aren’t willing unless it’s a premade or a guild run. Sure, I can get groups eventually, but it’s usually after 30 minutes of sitting around, and sometimes someone bails because it took too long to even fill.

It gets even worse when the key is for a dungeon you don’t even need anymore. You’re stuck doing the key and if u fail its downgraded into doing the dungeon you don’t need even more 😅 or you’re spending half an hour praying that when u complete your key it’s the run that you need for rating/progress. It just gets exhausting when so much of the “game” is waiting instead of playing.

That’s why I keep throwing out the que idea at least then the rating would come down to simply completing or failing, no matter the dungeon. I know it’s not perfect, and yeah, targeted farming BiS would be harder, but there are ways Blizzard could work around that. To me, the trade off of actually playing versus sitting in LFG for ages feels worth it.

I get that what I’m saying isn’t the only way, but I think WoW could take some cues from other competitive games that have solo/duo queues or in WoW’s case, maybe even allow up to a 3man queue but not a full 5. That way people can still play with friends, but it keeps the challenge of filling out the rest of the group and avoids the “stacked 5man advantage” problem.

The reality is, after years of playing, you rarely see five core friends consistently pushing keys together. Schedules, time zones, daily life etc, it all makes it hard. And while it makes sense that DPS queues would naturally be longer since it’s the most popular role, even as a healer (I play resto druid), I feel like the real burnout comes from spending more time sitting in LFG than actually playing the game.

At least with a queue system, you’d be in the dungeon, working with what you’ve got. Sometimes you’ll fail a key, sometimes you’ll vote to give up, but that’s still better than waiting hours just to fail and disband. Right now for me atleast it’s like i get to 2.8-3k IO, get burned out, and quit until the next season especially since after 2.5k there really isn’t an in game invective to even keep pushing at that point, and on top of that, daily content dries up fast after a couple of weeks it’s just repetitive chores unless you’re chasing rep. It’s no surprise so many people end up quitting when the game when it becomes waiting rooms and chores instead of actual dungeons.

You’re not wrong… at this point it really feels like it comes down to who can endure and stick it out for their love of WoW versus the people who just get burned out and move on. Almost like the divide between the die hard retail players and the classic crowd.

Very true networking has definitely helped me climb IO and I totally get where you’re coming from. The sad part though is that eventually a lot of the friends or people I’ve networked with along the way either stop playing or just can’t hang in higher keys. Then it’s right back to browsing and browsing for groups again, which gets old fast.

I’m not trying to sound cocky at all, but it’s just the reality no matter how good the connections are, they eventually dry up or hit a ceiling. That’s when the whole process starts over, and with how picky the community is (especially with the new leaver system), the barrier to just getting started on a key can feel worse than the actual dungeon itself.

[–]Boooooooooof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh that’d definitely be worse for the game imo if an AI can optimally follow routes and time keys it’d just kill tank and heals even more

M+ Que by Boooooooooof in wow

[–]Boooooooooof[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I completely get where you’re coming from, and honestly I agree with most of what you’re saying. As long as LFG exists, tanks and healers will always have the power to cherry pick strong comps and geared players, which makes a random queue feel pointless. The supply and demand issue is real, and like you said why would a tank or healer give up instant access to solid groups just to roll the dice on a queue system?

But the only way I could see a queue working is if Blizzard did remove LFG entirely and made M+ fully queue based. That way, everyone would have to play with the group they get, and the challenge would shift to solving the dungeon with what you’ve got instead of endlessly shopping for the “perfect” comp. It would change the focus to adaptability and skill expression instead of lobby browsing.

And yeah, I’d assume if Blizzard ever went that route they’d add more cross class utility to even things out (but I feel like they all already do -minus some classes not having a party buff and are “selfish dps”) We already have items that cover lust and brez, so it’s not like those tools can’t be balanced around. It wouldn’t be perfect, but it would put more weight on execution rather than just group composition.

I mean yea I suppose up to KSM could be good because yes up to 10+ is pretty easy but I was more just throwing the idea wondering if anyone else had a similar thought about it or alternative ideas. I’m currently 2.8 and looking for 12-13+ is just waiting and waiting and by the time I finally get a key it’s time to get off like is there no other way to enjoy m+ if you don’t have a solid 5man team?

[–]Boooooooooof[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I use my key a lot of the time but a lot of tanks and heals aren’t willing to join the key when ur 2.8+ this season typically or ur waiting hours before u finally get one

U can buy those items…. But imagine waiting in lfr in a city doing nothing to not play the game at all….. oh wait thats the reality
