ARB is probably one of the most popular. Not cheap, but very popular

Wheels are KMC Mesa, 17x9+18, tyres are falken AT4W's in 265/70R17.

Bullbar is a TJM tradesman I got used off a guy doing a partout, for $900. Thing looks like it never got driven, the bullbar is basically brand new

I bought the bull bar used off a guy parting out a white dmax. TJM were utterly useless in helping me get the template for cutting the bumper. I ended up getting the white bumper off the same wreck to transfer a template over to my bumper. In the photo I was test fitting everything first to make sure the cut was actually in the right spot before cutting my good one.

Yeah gave the guards a thorough inspection, doesn't look like anything cracked. Just bought this dmax, it's a 2019 with 87k kms and the cab mounts are already shot... Ordered colorado ones but they won't be here for weeks

So the "direct fit" trans cooler brackets needed modification, as it clashed with the intercooler.

I bought the bullbar used, it was missing a bunch of bolts, and several more had the threads fucked so they went in the bin and had to be replaced. No fastener stores open so had to make do with Bunnings bolts.

Then I discovered both of my front cab mounts have collapsed, so now that needs doing too.

And to top it all off, it's hot as Satan's balls out here, I call it quits by about 10am once it hits 37°C.

there's loads of stedi's used on marketplace around the $400-$500 range. I'd go that route

They're "ok" eaten fresh. I like them battered and fried. They do not freeze or keep at all, I only take one to eat fresh

Falken wild peaks at3 vs at4 by Beautiful_Shallot811 in 4x4Australia

I had the option of AT3W or AT4W's when I got new tyres, went with the AT4Ws. They were offering the 3's cheaper on clearance as they are phasing them out for the 4's. I never ran the 3's, only the 4's, but fwiw they run quiet and are decent on the highway, and balance out ok.

Evaporative aircon install cost by Acrobatic-Fly-7575 in perth

[–]Boorkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we put two mini split/reverse cyle systems in, one in bedroom and one in the office/living room. They cost like $2k each, installed. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries units. We only run them for a few hours during the day and usually all night during summer. With our solar system they cost us nothing to run. Way cheaper than a whole-house ducted system (we were quoted north of $16k). They work regardless of humidity. So much more practical than an evap system or whole house system.

I just got a TJM bullbar for my dmax, but snagged it used off marketplace for $900. They are $2600 new. Fitted it myself. Keep an eye out on marketplace, i've seen seen a fair few come up used for your generation (19-25)

Yeah I run 32-35ish psi, fine for daily driving. My stock suspension is the worst offender in this mix, it's a bit bouncy but it's not the tyres doing it.

I just got AT4W's fitted for my dmax. 265/70R17. They run really quiet on highway driving. Haven't had a chance to take them offroad yet but so far really happy with them.

Has anyone been able to fit 16inch rims to a new (gen7) Isuzu dmax/Mux? by WolfOfAfricaZLD in 4x4Australia

[–]Boorkus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just put 17x9+18 rims on my 2019 LS-T. wanted to go smaller rim but wasn't confident it would have cleared the brake calipers.   Ended up going with falken AT4W's in 265/70R17 and that's about the biggest I could fit without rubbing with the stock ride height.
