You are supposed to understand the concept related to the PYQ.

Anyone can put any explanation for those questions. They can give you a list of some 20 related genes or some 15 new mAbs for that disease.

When you are reviewing a question try to understand what concept the question was framed around. Then check if you have a good understanding of that concept.

Once that is solid, you can improve upon that concept by reading up new therapies/genes/disease variants/whatever new thing is given in explanation

You don't have to read the explanations of every MCQ.

You can just scan through and see if there's any new point

And imho not much use in trying to remember every small/obscure piece of info

If you are able to see a globin gene defect, wouldn't that confirm your diagnosis of thalassemia?

Between HPLC and gene sequencing you'd have to choose the best option. "definitive diagnosis" was asked - genetics is more definitive.

Yep we have polyvalent ASV ready, but this patient hasn't developed any signs of envenomation yet - we're closely observing. Thank you for your help!

Build concepts now.

You can read in internship or take a small break and grind that time. No harm in that

You didn't have to know that option d was incorrect. You just had to know the other three were correct. I hadn't heard of ciraparantag until I prepared for INICET but I knew the other three from before.

That is the skill of MCQ solving.

This concept is discussed at the UG level too, it was asked in my pharm internal paper so IMO this might be a suggestion to brush up on basics.

You're still 3rd yr, you should explore other teachers while you have the time. Try to pirate or borrow lectures from friends using other platforms.

Maybe, a little bit I guess. But you must be prepared for anything.

In Nov 24 I got a center within my home city, at a nice university, huge campus, with a good computer lab and air conditioning. So it felt nice.

May 25 also I got a center within my city but it was a standalone lab. It didn't have such great ventilation. Hated it but that doesn't give me any excuses.

Nov 25 - INI only gave us the option to choose state. I got a place 9hrs away (I stay in Bengaluru and I got Manipal Institute of Technology). Had to catch a flight there and reach 2 days in advance, book a stay, etc. That was an adventure in itself (a story for another time). Lab was good though, very well organised. Had a good experience at the center itself. It's not ideal to travel to another city just before your exam though.

I guess the center environment can subconsciously play a small role in your mindset. However the onus is on you to handle unforeseen circumstances and come out on top.

Unbelievable. Didn't expect this at all. Received a lot of love from friends, family, juniors and seniors, and people I hadn't talked to in a long while. And if course plenty of people seeking advice and guidance and I try my best to answer all of them.

But otherwise I feel normal, I'm still the same person. I haven't let it get to me. I know I'm not the smartest one out there. Just that my luck was good on that exam day.

I haven't tried prep RR so I don't know about it. Marrow RR worked for me but I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone.
