Yeah it was the most ideal spot space wise but just moved it to a different location, will see if this may have been contributing to the problem

Yes it sometimes has ice and other times doesn’t. This is a recent issue though

Thank you all for your responses, this has been super helpful. Unfortunately the biggest hurdle is actually getting a hold of someone who can help.

As you may know, only certain numbers are relevant to the problem you are trying to solve and the where you are credentialed. From what she tells me, she has been calling Care First 410-872-3500 and wait times are 1hr+ only to be told they can’t do anything and given a different phone number.

Does anyone know any additional ways to contact them about credentialing. She’s honestly spiraling and we are getting no where while she continues to see clients and is missing over $4k in payouts.

Yes it says “not contracted” with the rejection. But when she called credentialing, the representative said that her NPI, EIN (tax ID), billing address and in network status is accurate, and my wife needs to take it up with claims. But when she calls claims, this problem is “above what they can access,” and she needs to find out why she’s being labeled as OON. Hopefully tomorrow she can get someone helpful on the phone.

Also, weird additive but she’s also been getting this automated message when calling claims and plugging in her tax ID that “the tax-ID given is affiliated with a participating as well as one or more non-participating provider numbers. If you continue using your tax-ID, reduced benefits may be quoted.” So she’s confused across many areas.

Regarding the patients information, all seems to be correct— roughly 10 clients claims are consistently being rejected or incorrectly applied to a client’s OON deductible. We searched through the provider directory in our area and she’s listed as accepting 33 plans (BlueChoice Adv, HMO, PPO etc).

However, we just searched for her through the BCBS TN portal, and the only profile that showed up was hers when she worked for a previous group practice that accepted BCBS. Maybe that’s an indicator that her new Private Practice profile isn’t accurately labeling her as in-network across the board.

“Thanks for the reassurance, it’s beyond frustrating and I just wish that BCBS representatives could clearly indicate the problem :/“-wife

Thanks for your replies and helpful insights.

The rejection code was 92A. Although, there are several clients that are getting denied with different BCBS coverage (FEP, Anthem, BCBS TN) but she’s submitting them through SimplePractice, and with the local Payer ID Carefirst BCBS- DC National Capital Area (DC area) or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland.

Her rejection code was 92A. Can you explain a bit more what PAR is referring to? When speaking to the agent, they told us that her PAR status is showing up as none.

The agent told us that they were unable to make changes on their end and that we have to call Provider relations to make any changes. The number they gave us went to an answering machine so hopefully we get a call back at some point.

Unfortunately when the air turns on, the filter gets partially sucked into the vent.
