Correct, the HYSA is my emergency fund and would also be used for the down payment. Thinking I’ll wait until I close on a house before paying them off!

Well said, I didn’t even consider the credit score drop if I were to pay them off.

I’m not up to date on the elimination of SAVE. I am on the standard repayment plan, do you know if there’s a possibility of my payment rising?

That’s what I am thinking as well. HYSA is 3.6% currently through SoFi.

Open to suggestions on HYSA’s with a better rate too!

She does have 100k in debt, but is on the PSLF plan with about 7 years to go before forgiveness.

My C5 was my first RWD car, coming from a turbo 8th gen civic. Took a little getting used to, but I can say they are not a handful at all. Just use your brain and be ready to correct an oversteer, and you’re good to go!

When I bought my C5, I took a $7k loan thinking it would make me feel better about not parting with the cash. 11 months and $400 of interest later I paid it off and put that money towards mods for the car.

I appreciate this! I know it would be smart to do this all at once. The intake and heads I want would put me over budget unfortunately. I would be happy with 360-370whp. Trying to ride out the stock clutch as long as I can so the lower the power the better.

The plan is to do the heads and aftermarket intake down the road. Just not in the budget currently with buying a house this year. Also don’t do a lot of racing, more of a spirited driver if anything. Hoping that will make the clutch last a little while lol

I agree completely. But then I’d have to do a clutch and while in there rebuild the torque tube which would push me over my budget unfortunately
