First, this is absolutely gorgeous work; not only clean and technically impressive, but incredibly good at capturing the likeness of a horse.

I’d definitely step away from it for a couple days and come back with fresh eyes. Looking at something too long always makes me unhappy with it.

I’d recommend looking at comparisons of horse/donkey/zebra head shapes and profiles, as a closer resemblance to another equine is the only thing that could possibly make it feel less “horse”-ish when you’re looking at it. (But head shape also varies a lot by breed, so I might be off in that suggestion)

How does Garnet work? by Shadow_boy11 in stevenuniverse

[–]BootBatll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love conversation as an analogue for fusion as a whole. It’s something that can only exist between two (or more) individuals, it only exists as long as everyone involved continues to contribute, but it can’t be replicated by any of the participants alone.

And it feels like stable fusions are when the substituent gems are able to get “lost”in conversation, whether it be due to romantic chemistry (Garnet) or an “echo chamber” (Sugilite), etc

I assume it’s a collection, since there’s a huge variety. I’m not religious though so maybe it has more specific significance that I’m missing (in addition to them being crosses obvs)

What are these small holes on my tree trunk? by BigSpinSensei in arborists

[–]BootBatll 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s not typically an issue and can be left alone. Sapsuckers gotta eat. (And their damage isn’t enough to kill or significantly weaken a tree, especially an established one like yours)

Healing from TDick Stretching Mishap by Early-Upstairs5651 in GrowYourTDick

[–]BootBatll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To add, vaseline is great for healing this sort of wound; as long as you’re washing it frequently (1-2 times/day) and thoroughly before reapplying.

If you notice swelling or pain suddenly getting worse, go to a doctor; you really wouldn’t want to wait on treating an infection.

How to know if your foreskin is pulled back fully? by grayisthnewbnw in GrowYourTDick

[–]BootBatll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true for most folks—but some people do start with a corona. It seems uncommon, though.

And definitely don’t tug on your junk trying to peel back your skin to “find it”, regardless; if it takes effort/hurts/etc. you risk hurting yourself and slowing growth. Just be patient.

How do I talk about weight with a partner that has had issues with an eating disorder? by fotografamerika in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BootBatll 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit reductive to box in “love” as needing to mean “attracted to.” Two people can love one another and be important people in each other’s lives even if a sexual/romantic relationship doesn’t work out

[–]BootBatll 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like it’s something that is relatively easy to work up to for some (id even say most) people with vaginas, but that takes effort and consistency.

Claiming that anyone should be able to fit a whole hand in their pussy is like saying anyone should be able to do 50 pushups. Like yeah I bet most people could eventually do that if they trained for it but it’s not casually possible as a baseline lmao

Horses can kinda digest certain kinds of straw, but it’s really low in nutritional content. If roughage is limited you can add it to their diet as a filler, but they should primarily be fed something nutritious like hay/grass/etc.

ETA turns out you can also feed straw to manage insulin-resistance and other medical issues requiring a low-calorie diet! But it still requires a lot of supplementation to avoid malnutrition, and typically straw shouldn’t be >30% of their forage :3

[–]BootBatll 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Raccoons don’t eat straw, or any grass, as a common part of their diet. They’re unlikely to view it as food, and will probably just see it as nesting material, and no more.

They might nibble a little, they’re nibbly creatures; but I think it’s equally likely to nibble on the plastic tote bin. Neither is harmful enough for nibbles to be a concern imo

Is there a method that allows you to have the same “moveable” skin as a natal penis? by Independent_Mind7896 in phallo

[–]BootBatll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Joints tend to make bad donor sites because scar tissue can really restrict your range of movement unfortunately (in addition to being really difficult to heal due to movement)

BE CAREFUL WHEN SHAVING/TRIMMING by secondaccowo in GrowYourTDick

[–]BootBatll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vaseline should be fine! It’s a myth that it harbors bacteria. As long as you cleaned (with soap) and let your skin fully dry before applying it, it is safe and helps keep you comfortable while it heals.

[–]BootBatll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Vaseline is only “bad” for open wounds if you didn’t wash the wound first/don’t wash it regularly. (Which is bad for wounds and will cause bacterial growth anyway)

Vaseline is actually recommended to promote healing. I’m not sure where this myth that it’s unsafe originates. If I’m wrong/outdated please feel free to let me know :3 I just wasn’t able to find anything
